Description

In our cozy apartment you can unwind wonderfully and enjoy the silence of the surrounding nature with its mountain meadows and beech forests – an ideal retreat for families and nature lovers. The idyllic Harz mountain village of Lonau impresses with its tranquility without through traffic and is the perfect base for exploring the Harz on day trips. Charming hiking trails await you right on site, leading through idyllic landscapes and forests. The space In our house, located in the middle of the village, there is an approx. 75 sqm, comfortably furnished apartment on the first floor, which can be occupied by up to 5 people. The apartment has a living/dining room with satellite TV. 1 bedroom with double bed and 1 additional single bed And an additional 2 bedrooms with 2 single beds (see floor plan) 1 fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine 1 shower room and 1 hallway Towels and linens are included. Behind the house is a cozy courtyard where you can have breakfast or end the day on warm summer evenings Near our apartment is the restaurant "Zur Quelle" where you can enjoy numerous culinary offers in a cozy atmosphere. Lonau is a beautifully located, small Harz mountain village in the "Harz National Park" without through traffic - nestled between mountain slopes, with meadows and sparse beech forests. You can take wonderful short or extended walks on well-signposted circular paths, e.g. in Lonau, visit the grouse viewing area of the national park, experience and get to know nature. The water treading point with tables and benches invites you to linger. Lonau is also a great place to start for long hikes In the center of the village there is a small mini-golf course and a children's playground with numerous playground equipment. Above the village there is a solar-heated forest swimming pool for small and large children. Lonau is also a good starting point for long hikes. For example, the cultivated "Hans Kühnenburg" and "Der große Knollen" can be hiked directly. Even in winter, Lonau and the surrounding area offer many opportunities for a sporty or relaxing vacation. With sufficient snow, a well-groomed cross-country ski trail begins here with connection to the Ackerloipe in the Harz National Park. Approx. 10 km, altitude 450 - 811 m above sea level. In Herzberg, just 3 km away, you will find plenty of shopping. An electric charging station is located at the "Parkplatz Busbahnhof" in Herzberg, so far free of charge - later probably charging network. In the small town there is a beautiful, newly designed pedestrian zone and a cinema. Also worth seeing are Herzberg Castle with its gastronomy and museum, as well as Lake Juessee, which invites you to swim, dive, fish and go for walks. Here you will find relaxation, tranquility, recreation and pure nature! Guest access For parking, there is a parking space in front of the house Other things to note Our house was built before 1850. It is a clay half-timbered house and is partly basemented with a rock cellar. It's not a new building! 😉
