This comfortable ground-floor apartment has a lovely garden with sea views that’s perfect for relaxing or an al fresco meal. Part of a large house located in the top part of Robin Hood’s Bay, it’s an ideal couples’ escape – and also boasts a sofa bed so friends or small families can get together, too. The space Park at the front of the house and enter the apartment through the shared hall with its Edwardian encaustic-tiled floor. The kitchen/diner is a spacious and light-filled room in which to prepare and enjoy meals, perhaps with the doors to the garden thrown wide open. In this room there’s also a sofa and TV/DVD, so you could spend all your time socialising in here, or head through to the lounge after supper, where there’s a sofa bed, chairs and a TV/DVD. The lovely double bedroom is a bright and airy room with sea views, and there’s also a compact but beautifully designed shower room. As for outside space, it’s three steps down from the patio doors in the kitchen to reach the enclosed rear garden with its views of the bay. The lawn is a great spot for children to play or for dogs to sniff, while adults can get together on the patio for al fresco aperitifs or a delicious meal in the fresh air. Located 6 miles from Whitby and 16 miles from Scarborough, postcard-pretty Robin Hood’s Bay is located on a beautiful stretch of coastline and on the edge of the North York Moors. The beach is dog-friendly and great for rock pooling and fossil hunting, and wonderful walks are all around, along the coast path and inland. After a day out you can spend time exploring the small shops in the village and try out its variety of pubs, cafes and restaurants.
