Exceptional castle overlooking the river & valley

Welcome to an amazing and unique location in France. Belcayre Castle is perched on a rocky peak above the river. We open our warm doors to you for a wonderful stay and will always be available if needed. A cook/chef can be made available. The Belcayre site offers many activities (swimming pool, river, canoe, forest, ping-pong...) and the region is sublime and touristic (10 min from the Lascaux caves, close to Sarlat). The space The 12-meter swimming pool is very quiet, with views of the valley, garden furniture, brazier area and 15 sun loungers. 8/10 bicycles are available, including 3 electric ones. The terrace of Belcayre is unique, such as the deck of a boat, it overlooks the river and offers a dreamy view. The interior is stylish: refurbished kitchen, 9 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms (including 6 beautiful neat double bedrooms with king size bed, 1 children's bedroom and 2 single bedrooms), large, friendly spaces. A park of more than 10 hectares with the garden, a forest, a field, as well as a children's play area. Guest access You have access to the entire accommodation. Other things to note Please note, we don't allow weddings. The castle is not designed for this activity. Thank you for understanding. The region is rich in history and culture: in Saint Léon sur Vezère (one of the most beautiful villages in France), 10 minutes from Lascau, close to Sarlat/Les Eyzies/Montignac/La Roque Gageac, many castles (Beynac, Castelnaud, Losse ...), picturesque chasms and other historical sites. The local gastronomy is fabulous: foie gras, duck breast, truffle, porcini mushrooms, ... Many activities are available nearby (~5' by car, 10-15' by bike): castles, tree climbing, prehistoric zoo, tennis, restaurants, hiking trails, canoeing, prehistoric site
