A Charming and traditional rural retreat, offering Peace and Quiet; Convenience and comfort; Rest and relaxation, if this is what you want, then Binks Cottage is for you. Set on a picturesque village green in a "no through road" village in the heart of the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The cottage is over 100 years old but has been modernised to a high standard, it is tastefully decorated, offering a cosy yet traditional feel, while retaining charm and character. The accommodation includes two bedrooms (1 king size bed, 1 twin room) bathroom with large shower, bath robes and luxurious towels. The living room offers comfortable seating for 6 people with a log burning stove set in an inglenook fireplace. There is a smart TV with Netflix, an Alexa, books and games for all ages. The Kitchen is very well equipped and offers an electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, bread maker, washer/dryer, microwave etc. There is a dining table seating 6. The lawned garden, overlooking the village green, is surrounded by a low stone wall, there is garden furniture and a barbecue. Storage for bikes and tack. Private parking for 2 cars. If you want to stay with friends or larger family groups there is another holiday cottage available 100 yards away. Guest access Pre-Arrival •We have our own comprehensive website - this shows the access statement and bookings/enquiries can be made via this or telephone • We are situated in a small village, the nearest town is 1 mile away, with a regular bus service to larger towns including – Bishop Auckland and Durham City •The nearest train station (Bishop Auckland) is 12 miles away or Durham City (mainline) 20 miles. • To enjoy the surrounding area a car is recommended • A welcome pack is provided • Online groceries can be delivered to this address Other things to note Outdoor Facilities The enclosed lawned garden is well maintained with comfortable garden furniture and a gas BBQ. We can supply stabling for 2 horses - by arrangement only. There is outside space for storage of walking equipment or bikes. Attractions There are a comprehensive range of leaflets and books providing guests with details of local attractions. We are a working farm, with livestock, farm tours can be arranged.
