Surrounded by olive groves with a splendid view of the medieval town of Siena, only 15 minutes away, the historic house exudes a warm and friendly atmosphere. Casa Cernano is situated between the Chianti, famous for it's good wines, and the Crete Senese, a hilly landscape of unusual beauty. The nearest village is Castelnuovo Berardenga (10 Min. on foot). Family Leiner discovered the house in 1988 and restored the buildings and it's surroundings. All the original Tuscan features have been carefully preserved and at the same time all modern amenities included for a comfortable stay. Within a 35-45 miles radius there are the towns of Siena, Florence, San Gimignano, Volterra, Montepulciano and Arezzo. The beautiful Tuscan coast is approx. an hour away. All rooms are in Tuscan style with original wooden ceilings and traditional Terra-cotta floors. Each is individually furnished, with an eclectic mix of antiques and modern comfort. Guest access -Garden with tables and sitting aereas, sunchairs -Barn with sitting aereas and games for children, ping pong and table tennis Other things to note We also offer an italian breakfast in our garden or in our breakfast room / reception area.
