Sea House provides the perfect spot to lull the days away floating in the pool or as your home base for adventures on land or sea. Unique, creative shops, juice bars, restaurants with the best happy hours ever are all just minutes away. Or go horseback riding, catamaran sailing, zip lining, hiking...or just let your mind wander while listening to the birds and watch the sun change the shadows. The space Our Spanish colonial inspired home offers many one of a kind features. We did our best to mesh nature with unique antique objects with user friendly modern conveniences to create a private oasis perfect for stress relief. Enjoy! Enter the Sea House and enjoy the charm of easy living with lots of living space inside and out. High ceilings, wrought iron chandeliers, indoor fountain invite you to the first floor which is open concept. Fully equipped full size kitchen, lots of seating for dining or sofas for chatting plus books and games. Of course wifi, cable TV, stereo system with speakers throughout, iPod hook up, HDMI cable, Roku. Massive concrete stairway leads you past our inlaid compass rose to the second floor also with high ceilings. 3 bedrooms each with private baths and air conditioning. Two bedrooms (1 king, 1 queen) have direct access to the 2nd story patio. 1 bedroom has 3 sets of manly bunks and a private balcony. Center hall leads to patio facing the Pacific and boasts massive potted palms, a wet bar, wicker sofa and rockers, and lounges perfect to nap or watch the sunset with a cocktail. We also have a professional massage table so you can enjoy a this luxury while listening to the birds and gentle breezes. Outside space on the first level offers another patio with a handmade table with lots of seating, 2 hammocks, a large swimming pool surrounded by palms and flowers, rockers, lounges, and a wicker seating area that is by far the best place for star gazing!! Lastly, we have a spacious landscaped parking lot directly across from the house for total ease with transportation. There is a separate rancho there with two hammocks for relaxing or lots of space for yoga. In addition, there is a mini gym with a slack line, chin up bar, pull up bar, some free weights. Please use all with extreme care and caution. Sea House is not responsible for injuries. Guests enjoy full private use of the house, pool, parking lot. Rates are based on the number of occupants, which is strictly enforced. Additional guests are required to make additional payment. We encourage clients to conserve electricity because it is very expensive. Meter readings are taken upon client arrival and prior to departure. An allotment of 40 kw per day is included in the rate listed; additional usage will billed to client and collected by our property manager. As the owner, I will be interactive with you throughout the booking process and your stay. On site, Eddy and Marina are our caretakers. Marina will clean the house, make the beds, wash dishes. She is a fabulous cook and is happy to prepare meals for a fee (details are in my Welcome Packet). Eddy will clean the pool, connect the back up generator if necessary, remove trash. They are very dedicated and I am proud that they work together to make sure clients have an enjoyable vacation. Marina is still practicing English and has mastered Google translate. Our dog, Petey, will also be on hand to make you smile. Finally, we have a property manager who is available to assist you with translations, reservations or to address any problems that may arise. Together, we form a solid support team! The Sea House is nestled in the Paradise Bay gated community. There are minimal homes with lots of green space for exploring. During certain seasons, you will see whales breeching in the bay below you and hear howler monkeys in the trees down below. Early morning birds will greet you daily. Your vacation is about you. I guarantee you will be able to decompress from your hectic life if you chose to sit by the pool for a few days. But if you want action, then you're in luck! Ziplining, horseback riding, surfing are nearby or you can visit an active volcano in Masaya, mesmerizing colonial Granada, swim in a lake formed in an ancient volcano called Laguna de Apoyo. My Welcome Packet contains recommendations of fun things to do in the town of SJDS ... just not enough space here. Getting to town is a 20 minute walk which would be great if you are craving some exercise. Otherwise, I'd recommend renting a vehicle or using a taxi. Travel time with vehicle is about 6 minutes. Note: Paradise Bay is a gated community so you will need to pass thru the gate keeper. My Welcome Packet lists recommended transportation services. SJDS is such a fun town with restaurants and bars facing the bay and on the surrounding streets. It can get super noisy which adds to the festive vacation vibe. The beauty of The Sea House is that we are super close to town so you can wake up to the sound of monkeys and birds instead of street vendors. Your wake up view is that of the Pacific Ocean and Costa Rica. Note regarding what to pack: dress for comfort not to impress. No need for fancy clothes, shoes or jewelry. Focus on sundresses, sandals, bathing suits, loose button downs, tee shirts, shirts, sneakers, sunscreen. Guest access Guests enjoy full private use of the house, pool, parking lot. Notes Regarding Pricing: The Base Rate is $175 per night for 2 people; then the rate increases $25 per person per night. Long term rental discounts are offered. Holiday rates are as shown on the calendar. Christmas rate is $500 flat fee.
