Salted Roots Blue Door A-Frame Cabin
The new glass-front Aframe cabin was completed March 5, 2020. Its modern appeal includes a master bedroom downstairs, a loft bedroom upstairs, and a sofa couch in the living area for a comfortable max of 6 people. The units also include a beautiful wet room, clawfoot tub, wood pellet stove, kitchenette, and private deck. Set 6 feet off the forest floor, this naturally lit cabin has an especially enchanting canopy view of Resurrection Bay. The property is set on the beachfront of Lowell Point. Our cabin is set back in an old growth spruce forest, with fiddleheads, blueberries, and fireweed growing wild during the summer. You space is modern, clean, and caters to the new generation of adventure travelers. We are remote without being remote. Come indulge in privacy will having all of the modern amenities you might need. Guests have the entire glass-front cabin to themselves. There is also a shared sauna and firepit on property for guest use, as well as garden beds (feel free to use in your evening cooking!). Private beach access across the street is also available to our guests. Matt and KellyAnn are available to answer guest questions and provide recommendations for activities in Seward. The cabin includes its own personalized lockpad for self-check in, so guests do not need to interact with the hosts if they prefer privacy. We want your experience to cater 100% of your needs, so we are available as often or as little as you'd like. Salted Roots is 3 miles south of downtown, located on Beach Drive of Lowell Point. It is a beachfront property located in a quiet, forested neighborhood. This property is remote without being remote. Close to the kayak, fishing, and water activity launch point. Walking distance from the Tonsina Beach hiking trailhead and the gateway to Kenai Fjords National Park. Do we need a car in Seward? Many people arrive to Seward by bus or train. For Salted Roots guests, we do recommend having a car to tour around Alaska. How can I get from Anchorage International Airport to Seward? There are regularly scheduled bus transfers from Anchorage International Airport or downtown Anchorage, via the Park Connection. Again, we recommend renting your own car and driving the Seward Highway, a beautiful 2 hour drive along Turnagain arm. How far is Salted Roots from downtown Seward? Salted Roots is 3 miles south of downtown, located on Beach Drive of Lowell Point. Pet policy: We allow one dog per cabin on a case by case basis. We often have our pup and son at Salted Roots running around, so we want to make sure the dog is friendly with kids and doggies. We also want to make sure they are not left alone in the cabin, and don’t go on beds or furniture. Seward can be WET - so please bring your own towel to clean off your pup before (s)he goes inside. Take extra care disposing of waste and bring your own bags for picking up after your pet. As a new business, of course we are nervous advertising FULLY dog-friendly without outlining these considerations. If you are interested in bringing your pup to Salted Roots, we can easily add the additional $30/night pet fee to your existing reservation. In our dog Cat Stevens’ opinion, Lowell Point is doggie paradise. Let’s keep it that way for all of our fur-friendly visitors in the future!
