The Haus on Mirror Lake Suite 1
This large King Studio, boasts our full decor concept with original tin ceiling, real birch tree room divider and modern European furnishings. This economical unit is handsomely appointed for 2, featuring a king size bed, bathroom with whirlpool tub/shower, flatscreen TV. No on-site parking but for additional $10/night we will provide you with a parking permit that allows you to park in 5 different nearby locations within 1-3 min walk from the hotel. Lake Placid's newest vacation rental, THE HAUS ON MIRROR LAKE offers guests the area's first and only Modern Adirondack design. Using fair-trade or eco-friendly furnishings to provide you with a contemporary and affordable, yet luxurious Adirondack accommodation in an historic building. The lodge is not for everyone. It has no common areas to hang out nor restaurant to meet; there is no elevator, nor do they allow pets. Though attentive to guest needs there is no 24hour desk nor on site parking. When you arrive they will help you with your baggage, assist you with parking close by, show you the free WiFi access and answers any questions you may have but beyond the daily housekeeping that’s it. The interesting point about it though is that everything is right outside the front door. There are dozens of restaurants, and a fat handful of ice cream parlors, coffee shops, bakeries and confectioners to choose from. Eastern Mountain Sports next door, is ready to help outfit and plan your next mountain and lake excursion; Ere’s pizzeria is down stairs, a first run cinema, new play ground and the famous Great Adirondack Steak and Seafood craft brewery can be found across the street. In the Summer Mid’s Park adjacent the South side of The Haus, offers live contemporary and classical music performances weekly in the beautiful new band shell by the lake. They are really good. If you are lucky you may have a balcony view from your suite! Imagine a place where winter feels timeless, where the snow covers the tops of ancient mountains and the village sparkles with twinkling lights and frost-covered windows. Dog sleds pass families on ice skates, kids toast s’mores on a bonfire, and a toboggan whizzes by, carrying laughter with it. This is the perfect winter town in the perfect winter place.
