This is a fully enclosed living space renovated in 2021 with modern design, global decor and hi-tech amenities to help you relax and feel at home. Electric fireplace, record player, walk-in shower, washer/dryer, mini-split AC/heat, Keurig coffee, Marley speaker, Roku TV, breakfast, fenced yard, outdoor swing and fire pit. This space is in a historic 104-year-old home and is 2 blks to the B-Line, Hopscotch Coffee, Cardinal Spirits and restaurants. 15 min walk to downtown. 25 min walk to campus. This two-bedroom apartment in an historic triplex close to the B-Line Trail is furnished for your comfort and relaxation during your stay in Bloomington. Features include new mini-split AC/Heat with remote in each bedroom and living room, hardwood/stone/clay tile floors throughout apartment, oversized sofa, an electric fireplace with heater and remote control, record player, local magazines and event guides, fenced-in backyard, firepit, weighted blankets and all-cotton bedding. This property has views of the historic limestone McDoel Baptist Church (now also Hoosier Heights Climbing Gym) from the entrance and living room. The main room includes a vintage wood block dining/study table, oversized Ottoman-style sofa with Turkish pillows, electric fireplace with heater and remote, Norwegian and Turkish rugs. King-size sheets and extra bedding for the sofa are in the pantry closet on the top shelf. The soap stone napkin-holder on the dining table is a souvenir from Ethiopia. The tiny radio on the fireplace is a Bluetooth speaker and radio. The Johnny Cash print is a souvenir from Nashville, TN. There is also an aromatherapy oil diffuser on top of the fireplace with a few essential oils. The large kitchen includes breakfast/coffee bar with three stools, gas stove, microwave, Keurig coffee machine, pots, pans, silverware, basic dishes for eating, cooking, baking, etc. Clay stone tiles in kitchen and hallway feature a Moroccan-Berber design. The wall hanging was made by Syrian Kurdish refugees at the Kadifekale hilltop castle in Izmir, Turkey. Pantry closet is stocked with: a folding dog crate, dog bowls, ironing board, umbrellas, flashlight, board games, various spare charging/electronic cords, extra bedding, one large box fan and a portable AC unit for the bedroom. The photo on the wall is my dad and granddad in 1941 with the family dog. Bedroom one features a handmade, vintage cherry bed frame with built-in reading light (just plug it into the wall to turn it on), foam mattress and all-cotton bedding. Minka Aire ceiling fan is controlled by remote on the wall. Mid-century modern bed-stand and faux agate corner table with glass Arabesque-style lantern. Electric candles are distributed throughout apartment. Bedroom two includes a wooden platform bed, foam mattress and all-cotton bedding. The clarinet lamp is handmade and antique, the phrenology bust is a modern reproduction bought from a local antique store - not an antique, but very interesting to look at! The musical history map is from a local antique store. Mid-century style bed-stand, Ghanaian wooden headrest/stool and hand-carved mangowood linen cupboard from India. There are some toys and games for all ages in the top drawers of the cupboard. Extra games are in the pantry closet too. Finally, there are two weighted blankets in one of the drawers of the cupboard for use by guests with no extra fee. Just leave them outside the cupboard, so I will know to wash them after your stay. Bathroom features a marble floor, pedestal sink and fully tiled walk-in shower with sliding glass door and tiled bench. Cabinet is stocked with necessities and essentials for guests' use. Bath fan (control on the wall) features day/night lights and a Bluetooth connection to your device with built-in Bose speaker. The backyard is shared with myself and other guests. It features a secure 5-foot fence with two gates, fire pit, chairs, bench swing, small charcoal bbq and a flower garden. Play items include: three bicycles in the shed for guest use, two tennis rackets, two disc golf discs, puzzles, board games, record player, porch swing, fire pit, geodes and other interesting items around the property. Guests enter using their own personal passcode in the keypad door lock, which is unique for every guest. The small patio entrance includes a wooden rocking chair and an ashtray. I try to meet all guests at check-in, which is any time after 3pm, or can be as early as 1pm if you message me in advance to arrange it. I’m also highly responsive to messaging on the Airbnb app or by text messaging. In an emergency, please call me on the phone, leave a voicemail, and I will call you right back. The historic 100-year-old house/triplex is two blocks from the B-Line pedestrian trail, three blocks from Cardinal Spirits distillery, restaurant and cocktail bar, and three blocks from Hopscotch Coffee. It's a very walkable and safe neighborhood at all hours of the day. If you enjoy climbing, try out Hoosier Heights climbing gym inside the lovely limestone McDoel Baptist Church located catty-corner on Rogers St from the house. Parking - Guests may have up to two regular vehicles parked in the gravel driveway off Allen St. Bus - The bus stop is one block north, across the street from the McDoel Baptist Church on Rogers St. Bicycles - Three bicycles for guests are in the locked shed in the backyard. Please ask me for the key to the shed. Walking/Running/Hiking - B-Line Trail is two blocks east and is a 3-mile paved 12-foot wide walking/running path that connects to 7 miles of unpaved trails including the Rail Trail, Clear Creek Trail and other trails. A great experience for a day hike! Bring sun protection and water. :) Heating and Cooling: You have a lot of options! Recent upgrades include mini-split AC/heating that allows custom temperature controls in both bedrooms and the living room. Radiant baseboard heaters are also available for use as needed. The fireplace also has a room-heating function. Most windows open and have screens to allow in fresh air. Breakfast/Snacks: Breakfast is DIY and includes a variety of cereal, milk, yogurt, granola, fresh eggs, pancake mix, frozen waffles and similar items. Snacks include popcorn and ice cream. Dogs: Dogs are welcome to stay for free! There are dog bowls and a small folding dog crate in the pantry closet for use by guests with dogs. Also, if you bring your dog, please take care to protect the oversized sofa from your dogs' nails by covering it with the blankets provided on the back. :) Guests may use the large fenced-in yard for exercising dogs. Please supervise your dog at all times and clean up after dogs using the scooper provided. Please do not socialize your dog with any other dogs who may be staying at the property during your visit for safety purposes. Just take turns using the yard with dogs - thank you! Studio: I have another bnb listing next door to this one, so if the dates you want to book are already taken, try that calendar: Boho-Chic Studio + Breakfast, Porch, Yard, SmartTV. The studio is half as big as the travel pad, only 325 sq ft and sleeps 3 people max.
