This whole property (5-BR) combining a restored traditional Japanese house with a renovated modern Japanese home. Get the best of both worlds with 20% discount for multiple night stays. Both sides each offer complete shower/baths kitchens and laundry. The traditional side offers tatami mat with futons while the modern side offers western style bedding. The property offers beautiful Japanese style gardens, a traditional tea ceremony room and an outdoor sun-deck/porch. The space Kurashiki DEN is comprised of two restored adjoined houses; an older, historic side that is traditionally decorated and a newer contemporary modern house that is decorated accordingly. This listing is for the entire property and you will have access to all areas on the traditional side as well as the modern side. We feel this will offer the best of both worlds as your group can experience both; the more traditional style of living still common today as well as the newer more modern style of Japanese living. We are unique in Kurashiki because we are one of very few entire house rentals you will find in the Bikan Historic District. This space is ideally suited for families and small groups. Kurashiki DEN is centrally located just a several minute walk from Kurashiki train station and located at the entrance of the Bikan Historical District allowing our guests an immersive Japanese experience. The house is available for families or groups and ideal as a base for travel to the many surrounding cities and the nearby islands.
