San Giusto Abbey {Lavender}

To stay at San Giusto and spend several nights there is a special experience: perfect silence, the twinkling of the stars in the night sky, and the sensation of waking up in a place where time stands still. The space { THE ABBEY } Built in 1146, San Giusto is a medieval cistercian monastery located in a beautiful pristine valley, in Lazio (the region of Rome), 4 km outside the town of Tuscania, in an area called ancient Etruria, or Tuscia Viterbese, a hidden jem in rural central Italy, one hour north of Rome. The building has been restored for the last 20 years by the owners, who now love to share it with lovers of art and nature. All around, fields of lavender, pastures for donkeys and horses. You must have a car to get there: we are in an area where public transportation is not-existant, plus the abbey is 4 km far from the nearest town. { LAVENDER } A spacious country-style apartment, perfect for couples or families: a living room with kitchen, (with a couch bed, in case of need) a bedroom with bathroom, and a second bedroom with 2 beds and a bathroom. The private garden overlooking the abbey and the Valley of river Marta has a small patio and a stone table for dining. The price is for 2 guests, one night, breakfast is included. For every additional guest: 20 € per person. Additional crib for babies  is for free. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ - Arrangements may be made for dinner -- prix fixe from 40.00 € (advance booking required). - The owners live in the property, you are free to ask for help or advice. - You can absolutely walk around and explore the abbey, the gardens and the fields of the property. We want you to feel at home. - We have three dogs around the property, normally around the owners. They are really nice, polite and really used to people, and they occasionally bark as a greeting. In the property, in the farming area live donkeys and horses, that our guests love. - Note that guest rooms do not have tv or telephones. - Event Location: The property and the building can be used as a location for smaller and bigger events like weddings and parties. - Film and photography location: the Abbey is available for film or print shoots.
