Bus: within a couple of blocks from the apartment you will find bus stops to the center and east of the city. Train: the Atlantic Train Station is just a short 5 minute walk from the apartment. NOISE: The building is located next to the busiest avenue between downtown San José and the Eastern suburbs. The location is also a few blocks away from a train station and there are trainlines to the North and to the South of the building. The workday starts early in Costa Rica and despite being 21 floors above street level the noise from cars, buses but specially trains starts from early in the morning. Earplugs are highly recommended for light sleepers. This is not a suitable location for someone who needs absolute quiet. AIR CONDITIONING: This unit does not have air conditioning. The temperature range in San Jose is between 18 and 26 degrees Celsius (65 to 79 Fahrenheit) year round. This is reasonably comfortable by most standards. We feel strongly that an air conditioner is an invitation to waste energy and that there is no such thing as an environmentally friendly air conditioner.
