From our family to yours! Our peaceful home in Seven Devils is smack in the middle of the High Country! In addition to local hiking trails and Blue Ridge Parkway access, you will be... -5-7 mins to Hawksnest Snow Tubing & Zipline & Grandfather Vineyard & Winery -15 mins to Sugar Mtn. Ski Resort -20 mins to Boone & Appalachian State University, Wilderness Run Alpine Roller Coaster & Banner Elk -30 mins from Appalachian & Beech Ski Resorts, Blowing Rock & Grandfather Mtn State Park The space Can you hear the mountains calling you? Blue Bonnet Ridge Cabin is your traditional cabin located in a peaceful community setting. Our home is capable of sleeping 10 people so bring the whole family! We also have kid stuff since we use this house regularly with our kids! PETS -Pets are welcome for a $25 pet fee. One pet fee is charged in addition to your booking fee and will be viewed at checkout. If bringing more than one pet, please notify us so we can request additional pet fees! *If evidence of pets is found once the guest leaves and guests did not notify us here, they will be charged a $250 penalty fee. Guests can choose to bring pets after booking but must notify us so we can charge the pet fee. PARKING / AWD / SNOW PREP -Our 2 driveways can fit at least 3 cars each. -Street parking is NOT allowed by the Town of Seven Devils. -4WD vehicles, snow chains or snow tires are REQUIRED in cases of inclement weather by Town of Seven Devils. *Guests will be responsible for any losses incurred due to lack of vehicle preparation. THE LAYOUT ENTRY/LOWER LEVEL: Upon arrival, you will enter on the bottom floor. -Outdoor hot tub -2 Bedrooms: 1 queen bedroom and 1 bedroom with a queen bed plus a set of bunk beds with twin mattresses. -2 Full Bathrooms (one with a tub and one with a shower stall only) -Roku-enabled TV - guests login to their own streaming services *In concordance with the American Association of Pediatrics, we do not recommend children under 6 years of age use the top bunk bed. We learned this our first weekend at the cabin with an emergency trip to the ER! All guests use the bunk beds and loft area at their own risk.* **All guests must use the hot tub at their own risk! Make sure to supervise children and elderly while using the hot tub.** UPSTAIRS/MAIN LEVEL: -Must climb outdoor or indoor stairs to access main level -1 King Master Bedroom with short walk to the master bath which includes a large tub and separate shower stall. The master suite is separated by a pocket door off the kitchen for added privacy. -1 Full Bathroom -Fully stocked kitchen which includes Cuisinart stainless steel cookware, flatware, a Keurig coffee maker, a drip coffee maker, NEW state-of-the-art tea kettle, rice cooker, NEW Ninja blender, knife set, coffee K-cups and tea. -If you prefer drip coffee, please bring your own coffee and feel free to use the standard coffee pot. -Refrigerator: Ice maker is BROKEN. Please buy your own ice! -Dishwasher -Toaster -Dining room table with additional folding chairs that will accommodate most large groups. -Comfy living room with 2 couches, an armchair -Roku TV - guests must login to their own streaming services -Board games in red TV Stand for fun nights -Coloring books, colored pencils and crayons! UPSTAIRS/LOFT: -Must climb stairs to access loft -1 Bedroom with 2 twin beds -Attached Full Bathroom -Game/lounge area w/ kids books in side table and toys in the corner basket -Two full-size arcade games - Dig Dug and X-men Guest access Guests will have a unique access code that can be entered on the keypad at the front and back doors. Guests will receive checkin message with code and all instructions 2 days before arrival. Street parking is NOT allowed by the Town of Seven Devils. NO EARLY CHECKINS are available for this home. Also, 4WD vehicles, snow chains or snow tires are REQUIRED in cases of inclement weather by Town of Seven Devils. Guests will be responsible for any losses incurred due to lack of vehicle preparation. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND taking Shulls Mill Rd to bypass the town of Boone. We suggest continuing on through Boone from Blowing Rock. Shulls Mill Rd is extremely curvy! Other things to note ON DRIVING... We do NOT recommend taking Shulls Mill Rd to bypass the town of Boone unless you are very comfortable with very curvy roads and hairpin turns. Waze, Google Maps and Apple maps suggest you take it because it is quicker however, we suggest continuing on through Boone from Blowing Rock. Shulls Mill Rd is extremely curvy! ON CELL PHONES/WIFI… -High-speed Wifi available -Landline phone for your convenience located in main living room under TV. Landline phone has unlimited local and long distance calling. *Most likely, your cell phone service will NOT be good! Enable "Wifi Calling" on your phone before your trip if your cell phone provider offers that option. ABOUT THE HOT TUB… -Guests must shower first before entering to avoid hot tub rash (it doesn't mean the tub is dirty - it means you are!). -Do not add any bubbles, oils, or anything into the hot tub -Dark gray hot tub towels are provided and should be used in addition to any other especially dirty situations, ie. doggie paws, muddy ski pants, etc. **Hot tub must be vacated by 9:30am on checkout day for cleaning service*** ***Guests use hot tub at their own risk. PLEASE MONITOR YOUR CHILDREN AND PETS around the hot tub. We are not liable for any injuries or death resulting from use of the hot tub*** ABOUT THE TV's... -We do not offer any streaming services on our TV's but they have all the streaming service apps you need to login to your own! -There are 2 TVs - one on the main level and one in the lower level. *WARNING!!! Do not forget to logout of your streaming services when you leave!* ABOUT THE ICE MAKER... It's OUT OF SERVICE! We have two new ice trays for guests to use but large groups will want to pick up ice at the gas station at the bottom of the hill or at a local grocery store. ABOUT FIREWOOD... Firewood is not provided. Firewood is available at most gas stations and grocery stores on the way to the cabin. FOR THE KIDDOS... Since we have small kids and use this home as well, there are many kid amenities in the house such as... -Pack and Play -Books for kids -Two High Chairs -Booster seat for kitchen table -Kid stools -Kids' toys, coloring books and crayons and colored pencils -Baby proofing stuff (door knob covers, a freestanding gate, cabinet locks that guests install on their own) -Baby changing pad with cover that is cleaned after each guest -Kids' plates, bowls and cups in the kitchen -Audio monitor (So you can hear the kids sleeping downstairs while enjoying a glass of wine on the porch. Or is that just me? :)) -Fancy sound machines with night lights in the Master bedroom and downstairs bunk room. Feel free to move any of the night lights and sound machines around as you need to. -Baby blankets that are cleaned after each guest -Stand alone baby/Pet gate located in master closet ***Please note our house is not baby proofed but we do provide baby proofing items. Please supervise your kiddos and pets at all times especially near the hot tub, kitchen and bathrooms where cleaning items are stored under the sinks!*** FOR YOUR FURRY FRIENDS AKA PETS... -Water and food bowl under the sink! -Do not wipe muddy pets or ski gear down with the white bath towels. Feel free to use the gray hot tub towels downstairs! ***Make sure to notify us in advance if you are bringing pet(s) on your Airbnb reservation. There's a $25 per pet fee that is charged and added to your Airbnb booking rate. Not notifying us of pets will incur a $250 penalty fee.*** ON EXPECTATIONS… Our cleaning specialists are EXCELLENT at their job however, it is impossible to get every bit of dog hair out of the carpets or couches. Read our reviews and see that our home is always in a very clean state. Please be kind. Thank you for your understanding. Also, we have a cozy, wood burning fireplace in the living room and a wood burning fire pit outside. Sometimes there is a wood smoke smell in the house no matter how good the chimney is. It really gets in there sometimes. Rest assured, the house is meticulously cleaned in between guests. Please chalk this up to being all part of the experience of staying in a mountain cabin in the woods! Thank you for understanding! IN WINTER... Vehicles are REQUIRED to have 4WD, AWD, snow chains or tires during inclement weather, which is usually between December and March.
