Midcentury Modern split level home located in the forested hills above Aberdeen with a peek-a-boo view of Grays Harbor. The neighborhood is quite, well maintained and secure. This a great jump off point for Wa and Ore coasts and Olympic National Park. Walking distance to park w/ playfield and the city's Sherwood trail. Other local trails, wildlife sanctuaries and bicycle paths are within 10 miles. The city offers an array of dining, pubs, shopping, events and Saturday market during the summer. -The house will sleep (8) comfortably with (4) living area floors. There are (2) queen beds, (2) double beds. A inflatable single mattress is available on request. -The house has been completely repainted, restored and clean. -There is a complete kitchen with extensive array of appliances, and utensils. -Remodeled 2-1/2 baths. The bedroom bath has shower and tub. The master bath has a walk-in shower with a natural light tube. Both have heated floors. -The family room has a 55" TV and a card or game table with (4) place seating. Cards and some board games are available. -A laundry room with washer, dryer and cleaning products. -Resurfaced 10x20 wood deck, (deck furniture is covered for winter). -For summer, there is a private upper lawn area nicely sized for crochet, volleyball, badminton or other games. A lower yard is a English style garden with a sitting area. -There are (3) fireplaces, only the kitchen fireplace can be used. Duraflame logs provided and wood available if desired. -A private outdoor covered patio for smoking, vaping or sitting area. Smoking is not permitted inside house. -There are (4) staircases each with (8) steps. All have double handrails except the basement stair which has a single handrail. -The entire house has wall to wall carpeting with added area rugs. -The front entry has a keyless lock coded to the last (4) digits of your cell or contact me for any preferred (4) digit code. -A driveway can comfortably fit (3) vehicles. Additional free street parking is a short distance (within 200 ft.) from the house. -The street traffic is very light and slow due to the curves. Visibility is good for access to and from the street. -Downtown and highway 101 access is about a mile away. I can be on site in 5 to 10 minutes with a phone call, (anytime during your stay). Quite residential neighborhood with mostly similar aged or older homes all kept in excellent condition. Excellent street for walking or running. The neighborhood is friendly, secure and residents do watch out for each other. Everything in Aberdeen is within walking distance. Driving would probably be the primary way to experience the area. The downtown parking is not congested and easy to navigate. -No excessive alcohol use. -There are residents across the street and next door. Be considerate and limit noise and disturbance, especially after 10:00pm. -Not more than than (4) visiting persons during the day unless with prior approval. -There is a modem and router for electronics rated at 100MPS. -There are no cameras or monitoring devices on site. -Call me if adjustments are needed for thermostats. Do not control the master bedroom heat with the base board it does not control well. An oil filled portable is provided in the room for heating. -The basement is heated with (2) oil fill portable heaters. -There are Safeway and (2) Swanson's supermarkets available. -The Market Place located in downtown carries organic and natural foods. -The are a number specialty meat and seafood venders in Aberdeen/Hoquiam and more in Grays Harbor area. -Grays Harbor also has excellent birdwatching areas and museums. There is a Coastal Interpretive Center in Ocean Shores. -Enjoy resident Anna's hummingbirds and particularly the migration of Rufus hummingbirds in May. A myriad of other birds and wildlife can be watched from the premises. -Aberdeen is the home port to the Lady Washington tall ship. Check schedules for port of calls. -Aberdeen is the childhood home of Kurt Cobain. and there is a memorial park and museum along with other associated landmarks.
