Book a flight to RSW or Punta Gorda airports and catch a Lyft, Uber, or Pine Island Taxi to a marina we’re you’ll catch a water taxi to the island. (Boat transportation is extra and currently $180 round trip) from Four Winds Marina in Bokeelia). No need to leave the USA to get that tropical South Seas experience away from everyone and everything! It’s 5 hours door to door from most anywhere in the USA. You can also bring or rent your own boat and use our dock! Once your here, relax! Enjoy the privacy of a State Park with only a few homes! Current population 4! Its a stunning environment no matter the direction your looking! Other things to note THINGS TO DO: This is the question I get asked the most! 1.) Fishing is world class here. We have two docks, one facing east and one facing west you can fish off of both or… (2.) Kayaking: Hop in one of the 5 kayaks and explore or fish the back water and mangroves. (3.) Beach combing: Due to the islands remoteness and lack of inhabitants, Cayo Costa is world famous for its beaches littered with beautiful and unique shells! (4.) Bird watching: I can’t stress enough how intimate you get with nature out here! Whether it’s osprey, dolphins or manatee,you are up close and personal with nature! 5.) Nighttime star gazing: Truly a thing of the past however the skies are so unpolluted by light out here you can see the heavens first hand! For kids young and old the advent of cell phone apps allows even the novice astronomer to spot and see the space shuttle fly over with the naked eye! We recommend you download the App Night Sky! (6.) Enjoy a campfire! (7.) Arts and Crafts: After a day of shell collecting nothing is more fun then getting out the glue gun or paint set and crafting an original work of art! (8.)
