“The Birds Nest”

Located in the historic uphill neighbourhood, 10 minutes walk to the downtown core of Nelson, our guest suite; "the birds nest", is perched on the 3rd story of our quirky home and is close to all the action. Enjoy the cozy vibe and taking in the lake views as your base for your Kootenay adventure! The space Loft style apartment with lots of windows and lots of wood. Airy open concept floor plan for maximal views. Guest access Parking is located at the back of the house which is accessed through the alley between Hoover and Observatory. In the winter, 4x4 or AWD is highly recommended. Accessing the parking spot is best done heading up the alley from Kootenay rather then heading down the alley from Stanley. Photos are included in the check in instructions that guides this process Other things to note - If you have a toddler or infant we do have a Thule chariot (double) that can be used for cross country skiing, cycling, or strolling. - the space is very bright with tons of natural lighting. If you need dark spaces for sleep we recommend bringing a sleep mask. (They are a total game changer and my wife and I are dependent on them and sleep with them every night wherever we go) - the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to make a great meal. We have found in places that we have stayed that we would have liked more cooking supplies and so for our space we have decided to provide a fully stocked kitchen as far as pots/pans/baking trays/ cooking utensils/ as well as an array of spices. - Epiphany bakery is our neighbour, so you don’t have to travel far to get some delicious local coffee and freshly baked treats.
