Description

Hidden Hill sits above the old town of Coalville ~ a small hamlet in the valley of the Narracan Creek, West Gippsland. Nestled in the foothills of Victoria’s picturesque Strzelecki Ranges ~ Hidden Hill is the ideal venue for groups looking for a peaceful and private retreat to escape the bustle of everyday life. Set on a stunning 40 acre property with glorious panoramic views of the surrounding landscape ~ we are located just 90 minutes from Melbourne. The space Spacious barn accommodation caters for groups of up to 28. We don't mix groups here so you will have the entire barn to yourself for the duration of your stay ~ with exclusive access to all facilities. We host groups and families who are looking to get away and spend a relaxing time in the peace of the country. An opportunity for kids to see alpacas, pet some sheep and collect some eggs - and of course for parents to unwind, reconnect and take in the view. We're also an ideal venue for workshops, offering a unique space for work gatherings and corporate getaways. The barn boasts a pool room, ping-pong table, TV (with Chromecast), wood heater, couches for lounging, bar for tending, kitchen for cooking and board games for old-school entertainment. Outside you'll find a volleyball net on the grass and a modest basketball court for shooting hoops. Of course - in summer you may spend all your time in the pool beside the undercover BBQ area or strolling around the farm. Bathrooms are under the same roof as the accommodation. Ladies and men's facilities - 2 toilets and 3 showers each. Additional accommodation ~ Cabin and Wagon are available for separate hire. Cabin (sleeps 5) ~ Queen bed and triple bunk. Kitchenette, bathroom and 42" TV. Gypsy Wagon (sleeps 4) ~ 2 bunks. Power connection inside. Guest access We live on site and will be there to greet you upon arrival and to show you around. No key access is required. There is plenty of parking next to the barn and additional vehicles can carry on down a very short track into an adjacent mowed field. For local provisions - there are supermarkets and food stores in the nearby town of Moe - just 15 minutes away. Other things to note This venue is not suitable for loud all-night parties, as we live on-site (only 50 metres away). Our neighbours are a stone's throw away - and although not an urban setting - sound tends to find its way to them quite easily. Kitchen: BYO food, kitchen is well stocked with cutlery, crockery, cookware, etc. Please don't bring lots of stuff that will generate rubbish, e.g. disposable plates, etc. Bedding: We provide fitted sheet, pillow and pillow case. Please bring your own doona or sleeping bag. Bathroom: We provide hand soap, paper towels and toilet paper. Please bring your own towels and toiletries. Water: All drinking water must be boiled first. Swimming Pool: Our pool is heated by way of a solar system. We will endeavour to bring the water up to a comfortable swimming temperature, though we are completely reliant on the warmth of the shining sun for this to happen. So take advantage of the warmer months of the year if you like to take a dip. Pets: We cannot allow pets on our farm - no exceptions. There is too much risk regarding the safety of our animals and yours. Working farm with an Angora goat (Dorothy), Alpacas (Kahlúa and Dusty), two Emus (Bella & Edwina), 5 Persian/Dorpa sheep (Billie, Ella, Nina, Valentine and Bertie) and of course - loads of chooks - in all shapes and sizes! You can visit unstocked farm paddocks unescorted, or all paddocks of the 40 acres of farm escorted (we insist on escorting you to paddocks with stock in them to reduce stress to the animals and to keep you safe). Wombats, echidnas, wallabies, rosellas, cockatoos, galahs, kookaburras, magpies, boobook owls, wedge-tail eagles and king parrots are frequent visitors.
