Look to the skies from the terrace and then head to the river side, 200 meters from the house for spectacular views of the Auroras. Located within the city area, a house with a unique character, this is a perfect place to have a bit of distance from the tourist filled areas and experience the peace of Lapland. SKIS & SLEDGES included in the rent! The space Your 10m2 room is cosy & private and has a new queen size bed, big window for views of the backyard, a table, a closet and a traditional wooden floor. And of course the rest of the house is yours to enjoy: This intriguing and atmospheric wooden house was built in the 1960's (100m2) has kept its original warm ambient and is decorated with love. A terrace with winter and northern light views and a spacious backyard for playing in the snow, small sledge playing and hanging in an igloo. (The picture of the igloo comes when there is enough snow to build it.) Located 200 meters from the shore of the longest river in Finland, Kemijoki, and situated in a nice neighborhood, this traditional wooden house built in the 60´s has kept its original warm ambient. There are three rooms for rent in the house and half of the time I live in a third room at the other end of the house with my own entrance. Guest access The room is of course yours and yours only. There are three rooms rent in the house. You can freely enjoy and hang in the rest of the house; living room; kitchen; sauna; fireplace and the backyard! During your stay Im happy to welcome you in, show you around the house and answer any questions you might have about your stay, the surrounding area and what to do there and of course tell you about Rovaniemi. Other things to note The yard is an ideal place to swim in the snow directly from the sauna. In the yard there is an igloo (where you can stay) and a small creek opportunity. There are still no images of these because the place is new and there is no snow yet, the updates are coming! If you are not afraid of dressing in the 90's finnish-winter-fashion, you can borrow warm winter clothes and shoes from the house. From the terrace you can watch the Auroras, and if you see them there is an open park next to the house for better views, but for the best views of the skies is the Kemijoki Ice, that is only 200 meters away and there is virtually no light pollution, so the northern lights can be seen perfectly.
