Seeking adventure or peaceful rest? The RV in the Uwharrie fills the bill. Located in the middle of nowhere but in the center of everything. Our luxury RV is your escape from the daily hustle/bustle and lets you get back to nature. You'll have a true camping experience, but with the comforts of home. It's the perfect place to retreat to after a day of hunting, pottery shopping, exploring the Uwharrie National Forest or going wild at the NC Zoo. Your time in Bigfoot's Backyard will be memorable! The RV is a 38 ft Jayco Designer series luxury fifth-wheel which will provide the true camping experience but with the comforts of home. There is plenty of room to park as you reach the end of the graveled drive where you will find the RV parked on private, family land with electric and water provided. It is in a cleared, but is secluded spot and surrounded by forest and farms. The unit is fully air conditioned for those hot summer days and heated for those chilly fall / cold winter nights. It has privacy, room darkening fabric shades on the windows. Basic toiletries (individual size soap, shampoo, body lotion), all bedding (sheets, pillows, blankets and comforter/quilt) and coffee and condiments are all provided. There is a landline phone with free calling (because the cell service is limited) and wi-fi for internet (it is satellite based and slower than what you will find in town, but usable). As you go through the door, you enter into the main living area. There you will find two super comfy leather recliners, a 42" TV, ceiling fan, electric fireplace and a plush sofa that pulls out into a full size (air mattress) bed . The kitchen has all needed the appliances including refrigerator/freezer, gas 3-burner stove, oven, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. We also include all the dishes, utensils, glassware and cookware. The dining area has seating for four and offers plenty of room, but the table can be expanded to provide more elbow room if needed. The private master bedroom can be closed off with pocket door or folding screen. It has a king size bed, 20" TV, closet and plenty of other storage for your clothing and gear. There is one full bath consisting of a walk-in glassed shower, full size porcelain toilet, two sinks with individual storage cabinets and mirrors. We provide towels, hand towels, washcloths, basic toiletries and paper towels. Outside we've provided a charcoal BBQ grill, sink and picnic table for outdoor cooking and dining. In the backyard, you can sit in a pair of rocking chairs on a paver patio while enjoying the firepit, relaxing in covered hammocks/loungers, play cornhole or settle down at the umbrella covered small dinette. It is the perfect escape into the woods. Keep in mind it is in the country, so you may encounter some cute wildlife like bunnies, birds, squirrels and deer AND some not-so-cute critters like coyotes, foxes, skunk, snakes, spiders and insects; cell service may be weak depending on your provider (that's why a landline phone is provided) and the TV and Wi-Fi service is DirecTV Streaming provided by fiber internet (antenna TV is available on both TV's and gets approximately 10 local channels with good reception). Also keep in mind that as comfortable and luxurious as this RV is....it is still a camper and staying is a camper is not like staying in a house. The water pressure may be weaker, the electrical service is limited, the toilet flushes by a foot pedal and everything has its own switch...knowing where to find the switch is sometimes a challenge (we will help you locate and identify them). You'll be able to park right at the RV. There is no public transportation and no Uber/Lyft service in the area. You'll be traveling to the campsite on a curvy, narrow road, but it is a beautiful drive. Many cyclist and motorcyclist travel this road because of the beauty and challenge it offers. Borders the eastern edge of the Uwharrie National Forest. Rural country, extremely quiet and serene. In the middle of no where, but in the center of everything. Open campsite bordered by forest and farms. Less than a 20 min drive to the Uwharrie National Forest recreation area to the west and to the North Carolina Zoo to the east. Parking at campsite. There is no public transportation or Uber/Lyft services available. You can drive or ride bicycle. As mentioned in the initial description, it is in the middle of nowhere. This is a very rural, secluded area. The closest towns are Seagrove (7 miles away), Star (7 miles away) and Troy (10 miles away). There are no shopping centers, grocery stores or gas stations until you go into one of those towns. BUT....it is in the center of everything....with lots of things to do and visit. In less than a 30 mins drive, you can find the Uwharrie Recreational area (go hiking, fishing, swimming, horseback riding, mountain biking, cycling, boating, jet skiing, kayaking, ATV/OHV/Off-roading, shooting at the Flintlock Valley Shooting Range, and hunt in the public hunting area managed by the North Carolina Wildlife Resources 0Commission), visit the Pisgah Covered Bridge; shop for pottery in Seagrove, the Pottery Capitol of the United States; go wild at the NC Zoo, play golf at the Tot Hill Farm Golf Club or Denson's Creek Golf Club, visit the NC Aviation Museum and Hall of Fame or the American Classic Motorcycle Museum; find a vintage treasure at the Collector's Antique Mall, be awed by the talent of the glassblowing artists and the beauty of their creations at STARworks, step back in time at the Town Creek Indian Mound Historical Site, soar through the trees at the Richland Creek ZipLine Canopy Tour, or try your hand at disc golf at any one of the three public parks in the area. So much fun to be had...so much to see and do.
