Follow us on IG @trahus.tremblant The space KITCHEN • start your day with morning coffee, as the sun pours into the cabin. we have a Nespresso machine, pods and a Bodum pour over (your choice!). and yes, we have a Breville coffee grinder, Nespresso milk frother, and Fellow kettle too! Tim Horton’s tea bags are available if coffee isn’t your jam. a fully equipped chef’s kitchen with pots and pans, Gordon Ramsay knives, small appliances, cookbooks, olive oil, Cape Herb and Spice seasonings and more bakeware and utensils than you need are available for your use. imagine whipping up a batch of cookies with that coffee? yum! LIVING SPACE • floor to ceiling windows, an open layout and pine interior brings the outside in and helps you feel one with nature with all the comforts of home. there is a wood burning fireplace that can be used all year round, baseboard heaters in the winter for warming up after hitting the slopes and an air conditioner in the summer for cooling down after spending a balmy day in the nearby lake. firewood, kindling and fire starters are all available complimentary for your use. there are games in the shelf under the coffee table and books picked especially for book lovers. there is no TV but with all the relaxing you will be doing; you won’t miss it. so, make sure you cozy up by the fire, grab an extra blanket and enjoy as time slows down during your stay. BEDROOMS • trähus has 2 well appointed bedrooms. both bedrooms have queen sized beds outfitted with Obasan natural, organic mattresses and pillows, and the softest Benji Sleep sheets and duvet covers. there is storage space in each room for personal items. there are large windows in the bedrooms so you can wake up to the beautiful views of the trees around you, and if you’re lucky, you’ll see deer nibbling on the clover. privacy is not an issue because the cabin is set back from the main road that has minimal car or foot traffic. you’re going to love going to bed and sleeping in! BATHROOM • a natural, spa-like 3-piece bathroom awaits you. stocked with Public Goods septic-safe shampoo, conditioner & body wash, you also have an iron, blow-dryer and first aid kit available for your use under the sink. we have blinds as well as we have privacy film on the lower half of the bathroom window so you can still enjoy the outside light, without anyone being able to see you. towels are provided with compliments for bathroom use only. LAUNDRY • a full sized washer and dryer along with Public Goods laundry detergent pods and dryer sheets are available for your use if you need to do laundry during your stay. SMART HOME FEATURES • we love our tech at trähus. the keypad enabled Alfred lock will provide a seamless entry into the space. you will be provided with your access code before your arrival and stay. complimentary wifi is also available as well as a bluetooth enabled Marshall speaker if you want more easy listening than the relaxing sounds of nature. all bedside tables have wireless charging stations in the event you forget to bring your smartphone charger with you. OUTDOOR AREAS • trähus boasts a wraparound deck so you can feel like you’re hanging out inside a tree house. you can access the deck from the kitchen, living area and the side of the cabin. while there is no outdoor furniture or barbeque available during the winter months, guests can enjoy the outdoor space from may to october. LOCATION • trähus is located in the beautiful mountains of the Laurentians, under 15 minutes away from the famous ski hills of Mont Tremblant where you will also have access to multiple grocery stores, SAQs, restaurants, breweries, cafes, pharmacies, spas and all the other conveniences of city life. when the weather warms, you can float lazily along Riviere Rouge, hike around various trails, or even take a day trip to Montreal. please don’t hesitate to ask your hosts if you’re interested in a particular seasonal activity. we will happily provide our recommendations. TAKE CARE • we hope you enjoy your time with us and have everything you need during your stay, but we ask that you please be respectful of trähus. a lot of time and care has gone into curating the space to be as warm and inviting as possible. this has resulted in a deeply personal space that we hope to share with our beloved guests for a long time. the cabin is on a septic system so please refrain from flushing anything other than toilet paper and dispose of all other products in the trash can available in the bathroom. the cabin also has a dedicated well with clear and scent-free water, which was recently tested at Boyer & Fils in St. Jovite and is extremly safe and drinkable. finally, please refrain from walking in the cabin with shoes on so that the natural pine floors are not damaged and respect the community the cabin is in by not having parties, keeping the noise down after 11 pm and not having uninvited guests in the space. Guest access trähus can be accessed by a well-maintained cottage road and has private parking for no more than 2 cars. it's a short distance from the parking to the entrance of the cabin which makes loading in and out a breeze. guests have access to the entire cabin except for the outdoor storage unit. security cameras are located on the property facing the driveway and entrance for insurance and safety reasons. it is recommended that guests arrive before sundown in order to easily find the cabin. there are no streetlights at night, and it can be difficult to read the small road signs. Other things to note we so love and adore pets but are unable to host them at trähus unless by special request. this space ideal for a couple’s or a friends’ getaway and cannot accommodate more than four guests at a time. it is not suitable for young children as there is no childproofing throughout the space. much of the décor is not kid friendly, there is no room in bedrooms for a fold out crib and the wood stove and outdoor fire pit are hazardous for children as they get hot to the touch.
