The space In 2021, we tore this place down to the studs and rebuild this beautiful six-hundred square foot apartment into a dream home. With vaulted ceiling, kitchen, fabulous bathroom and lots of lighting we created a bright, airy, comfortable space. Because our city is the Artland of Georgia we invited local artists to display their work. Guest access Our residential neighborhood is quiet, safe, and three blocks from downtown with it's many restaurants (Girasoles, Chops N Hops, Barbaritos, Mama Ning's Thai, Krimson Kafe, Suncatcher Cafe, The Traveling Hobo, Jittery Joe's Coffee, The Blind Pig, Kique's Kitchen (Jalisco Mexican). There are clothing shops, an antique store, and an art and frame shop. We are also in walking distance to Watkinsville Woods, a six-acre woodland with creek and paths, and our recently opened 100 acre passive park Thomas Farm Preserve with miles of walking and bicycling trails and a fishing pond. We are one block from OCAF art center which hosts art exhibits as well as Perspectives Juried Pottery Show featuring fifty Georgia potters, Southworks Juried Art Exhibit, Holly-Daze, Holiday Market and the ever popular Thrift Sale. We are less than ten minutes from the world-class Georgia Botanical Garden, the Georgia State Art Museum, UGA, UNG, and downtown Athens. Other things to note The main house on the property is occupied by tenants. Oconee County is a great place for cycling. We can provide bicycle storage upon request. Long term (2 weeks or longer) will have weekly housekeeping including fresh linens at no extra fee.
