Great value for money, clean tidy unit for short stay, for small group of travellers in cosy 'backpacker-style' studio accommodation. 2 friendly dogs may greet you. 10 mins to safe beach or estuary/river swimming, surf beaches, Awakeri hot pools, Latham's Track bush walk & views, mountain bike or moto-x trails, golf courses and Awakeri Rail Ride. 15 min Whakatane. 25 min Ohope Beach, 10 Thornton. 20mn Kawerau. 30 mn lakes. 45 mins Opotiki. 1 hr15 Rotorua/Tauranga. 90 mins Taupo. 3 hrs Gisborne. The space TV, board games, books and toys available to keep kids happy if raining. Pool access in season. Outdoor garden area/paddock/fruit trees to explore within our fenced boundary (young kids supervised please). Fully fenced, security gate and cameras, with key fob access. Guest access Full private access to the guest suite and parking. Feel free also to help yourself to a sample of seasonal fresh fruit (oranges, grapefuit, lemons, limes, apples, pears, plums, peaches, feijoas, bananas, grapes, blueberries, persimmons, figs) from the trees in the yard and interact with the animals (chickens, goat, dogs & cat). NO ACCESS TO SHED/WORKSHOP-please keep children away from this area. Other things to note NB. the toilet and water drainage runs on a pump system that makes a humming noise each time in use. Flush only 'pee, poop and t-p' please! On some days, including weekends, you may encounter minimal workshop noise from our shed next door. The pool is available in season 10am to 8pm, please check with us first, and children must be actively supervised at close reach by an adult. There is a pool gate up the stairs beside your unit. We run on solar power during the day, and we try where possible to reduce our waste and ♻️. Glass and bottles in small open bin outside. Paper, cardboard, cans and hard plastics go in the yellow lid bin, and landfill rubbish in the smaller wheelie bin. Woolworths in town accepts soft plastics. Food scraps (no bones) can be fed to our chickens in their enclosure. Help yourself to fresh eggs for breakfast if you find any!
