Guest access Guests have full, private access to The Contemporary, in the 2nd-floor apartment #3. This includes the living room, kitchen, dining area, 2 bedrooms with queen beds, and 1 full bathroom. • Access is through the left-hand side staircase. • Parking: There are 3 parking spaces located behind the property, shared among all 4 units. • Backyard: Guests are welcome to enjoy the fenced backyard, which is a shared space with patio seating and outdoor furniture. You’ll have your own private apartment, with only the entry staircase, parking, and backyard shared with other guests. Other things to note WiFi & Work-Friendly: We provide high-speed WiFi, averaging 11.55 Mbps or higher. Guests who need a wired connection for work can request an Ethernet cable, or use their own. Several guests have successfully worked from our apartments. Extended Stays: For stays of one month or longer, the cleaning fee will be $200. History of the Home: This home was built in 1894 and is one of the oldest houses in Sanford. Sanford itself dates back to the 1870s. 212 West 4th Street was built by W.J. Hill for his wife Alice and remained in the family until the mid-1920s. Hill was one of Sanford’s first merchants, operating a hardware store and lumber yard. Remnants of the lumber yard are still visible directly behind the home (long yellow metal building), and the original hardware store signage can still be seen at the corner of Oak and 3rd.
