The space A modern, warm uncluttered space designed in the vernacular country style of this beautiful corner of rural Bedfordshire. The flat is a converted barn loft and is equipped to be fully self catering (Microwave, oven, refrigerator and washer-drier). The perfect base for all lovers of the outdoors exploring the beautiful Greensand Ridge with its rolling, forested landscape and picturesque villages. Voluminous King size bed with sumptuous 13 tog down duvet and pillows as well as Egyptian cotton bed linen for cozy comfort. Ensuite with powerful shower, electric towel radiator and toasty warm under-tile heating. Clothes storage is in under-bed pull out drawers. Hanging racks with hangers for suits, dresses and coats. Small dining table with chairs. USB charging sockets, 2 x ethernet sockets throughout flat. There is a handy separate study/office worktop area with chair, table lamp and USB power sockets adjacent. The Studio has its own independent Wifi. Password provided. 4K 40 inch smart TV with full internet and Freeview access. This loft flat was built within our barn's gabled roof and is accessed by an external oak staircase with banister. By definition, having been built to maximise this roof space, it has, like most lofts, some areas of low ceilings and sloping walls, thus reducing full head height in a few areas (eg bedroom area). This is a gentle reminder that you are booking a loft flat, with its inherent interior ceiling eccentricities, not a standard four walled space. Guest access Free off street parking on our gravel drive. We have space for one car only. Please park to the far right hand side of the drive, allowing access to/from the open bay garage.40lk There are external oak stairs to the Studio flat accessed via the distinctive gothic arched oak side gate to the right of Ridge House. Make sure it doesn't slam in the wind as it's very heavy! There is a secure hand rail up to the flat's front door. A handy outside light switch will illuminate the external stairs directly. It is at the foot of the stairs on your left hand side at chest level (a grey rocker switch). A key safe is immediately to the left of the flat's front door once up on the stair's landing. The access code will be included with your check in details. Lights (with motion sensors) surround the main house and the shared outside courtyard beneath the Studio flat to light the path to the door as the nights draw in. Other things to note The courtyard is of natural York Stone. This can be slippy in the wet so please take care if you arrive in wet or icy weather. The oak stairs have ultra grippy safety treads. You can always turn on/off the external stair light from within the flat. Switch at flat's front door on immediate inside left wall. Alternatively, it can be turned on/off at the outside switch at the bottom of the stairs referred to in the Guest Access section above (Grey rocker switch) For bikers or guests with muddy boots there is an outside hose people are welcome to use. It's on the corner of Ridge House, across the courtyard opposite the Studio flat. Please wash down on the grass. For anyone needing secure bike storage we have a fully lockable car bay beneath the Studio flat. Message us with your needs.
