The space The passion project of a local builder, The Chalet will quickly embed itself in your imagination. Sandstone quarried from the site has been carved to create beautiful motifs inside and out, paired with recycled timber that together evoke a sense of stone castles of old. Surrounding the house you’ll discover terraced gardens filled with rock features and edible and native plants. Every window of the home captures stunning valley views and bush vistas which give a sense of privacy and seclusion. Inside, you’ll find luxurious appointments, including original art by celebrated Australian Aboriginal artist Gloria Petyarre, Natuzzi leather, top end beauty products, linen bedding, high-speed NBN, and more. The cosy, open living space has a leather sofa, 4K Samsung smart TV, sky-high ceilings and wood-burning slow combustion fireplace. Central to the home is a galley style kitchen flowing through to a dining area which leads out to the undercover rear balcony with outdoor dining, Weber barbeque, and spectacular views. The Chalet comfortably accommodates up to four adult guests with one bedroom downstairs and one open upstairs loft-style bedroom. Perfect for couples or friends who enjoy each other's company, but also crave a little privacy and their own space at the end of the day! BEDROOM 1: Downstairs, queen size bed with built-in wardrobe. BEDROOM 2: Up the spiral staircase, loft-style room with queen size bed. High-quality bed linen and towels are provided. BATHROOM The downstairs bathroom has a luxuriously deep stone bathtub, rain shower, basin and toilet. KITCHEN: In the kitchen you’ll find modern appliances paired with high quality stainless steel and cast iron cookware. All crockery, cutlery, cooking equipment and utensils are provided for you to whip up a feast. For coffee lovers, a Nespresso machine (incl. pods) is provided. LOCATION: The Chalet is in the suburb of Woodford, 4 minutes drive to Woodford train station and 5 minutes drive to Hazelbrook shops. Katoomba, Leura, and Wentworth Falls villages are 15 minutes drive further up the mountain on the Great Western Highway. Jenolan Caves, Mount Tomah Botanic Gardens, Blackheath and other Blue Mountains villages are all also easily accessible by car via the Great Western Highway. Other things to note Please note there is no air-conditioning or cooling system at the house. The Blue Mountains do occasionally get some very hot days in the spring and summer over 30°C.
