Description

This stylish 1971 chalet is a country retreat with modern comforts for you and your family... complete with strong WiFi and a fenced-in dog yard! The minimal cabin is tucked in the trees and set up for families and friends, pet & kid-friendly. 10-15 Minutes to Mount Snow 10-15 Minutes to Downtown Wilmington This is a country house, not a boutique hotel :) If booking during winter or spring months, we HIGHLY recommend a 4wd vehicle as the weather can cause some tough road conditions (snow/mud). The space KITCHEN The kitchen is set-up for cooking & gathering. It has a dishwasher, refrigerator and freezer, gas range, toaster, microwave and a large central island. We have coffee beans and tea waiting for you! BEDROOMS (Beds 1 & 2) Two bedrooms have Tuft & Needle queen-size beds, ceiling fans, and a simple closet space. THE LOFT (Beds 3 & 4) The loft (accessible by staircase) is open to the living space below. This space has low ceilings. This space is primarily set up as a movie lounge, but works as and overflow sleeping space* (two twin beds). A 55" TV with guest Netflix & HBO Max is setup. We also have a digital keyboard for you to play on. *Please note: If you're using this space for sleeping, it is open to the living/dining area below. THE LITTLEST OF GUESTS As a family with kids, we have some amenities for the littlest of guests. One of the bedrooms has a changing table, we have a few books, and blocks and games. FOUR LEGGED FRIENDS We love dogs! We have a fully fenced in dog yard for your pup to play freely! We do charge a $50 pet fee per pup. We try our best to clean up every last sneaky dog hair, but *please note* that because this is a pet-friendly house dog hair sometimes finds it's way into the trickiest places. If you have allergies, this is likely not the best house for you. That said, we do have an air purifier out for everyone. WIFI It's strong at 104 Mbps! Cell service is a little weak, but not too bad. GETTING TO THE HOUSE The private road leading up to the house is gravel. Please drive slowly and take care. Vermont roads can get slippery in the winter and very muddy in the spring, so we highly recommend snow tires and/or 4WD. The driveway will get plowed, but because the house is on a dirt road in Vermont, we cannot guarantee an exact time for plowing. Vermont weather can be finicky & tough to drive in - please come prepared. Guest access The house and deck are yours to use, as well as parking directly in front of the chalet. In the winter the roads are plowed regularly. There is not guarantee of timing for when the plow will come for the driveway. We will try to shovel a path to the cabin before you arrive, but we also leave a shovel and salt for your own use during your stay if you need it! Other things to note We hope you enjoy your stay!
