Enjoy the exclusive use of this luxury holiday retreat nestled on 150 acres of pristine Whitsunday rainforest. Centrally located between Proserpine and Cannonvale the hand built stone cottage has been thoughtfully styled to invoke tranquility and connection, with comfortable furnishings and repurposed timbers crafted throughout. Surrounded by fruit trees with gazebo and spa, the retreat offers complete privacy for romancing, re-connecting and decompressing in a peaceful private sanctuary. The space The retreat offers an outdoor spa nestled under a gazebo overlooking the valley. A queen bed lays in a large open bedroom, with bathroom to one side and laundry conveniently hidden along the back wall. A handcrafted coffee table and couch sit at the end of the room, beside French doors which lead out to the gazebo hosting hammock, spa, table and seating. Large windows frame the view through to the private tropical garden. The main living area features full open plan kitchen overlooking the rear garden hosting butlers sink, island cook-top and a full range quality amenities. Vintage dining table and large couch span across a feature wall of repurposed fallen rainforest timbers with wide screen television for movie watching on lazy days. Air-conditioned throughout, large windows surround the space allowing the cooling breeze to flow. With views from every angle a printers desk completes the bespoke furnishings tucked neatly beside the entrance to the front garden. Outside you will find sun loungers overlooking the banana plantation where you can lay watching the native bird life whilst enjoying the serenity. A stroll down to the creek passes an organic vegetable garden. Guests are encouraged to pick a few seasonal offerings to enjoy with their meals. To the rear of the cottage you will find an expansive lawn from which to enjoy the magic and brilliance of the night sky. The private rainforest walk invigorates the spirit with giant fig trees adorning old growth forest abundant in native flora an fauna. Our friendly chickens provide fresh organic eggs for guests and freely range the property. From time to time you may hear them rustling in the gardens. Guest access Exclusive access to the property is found via the private driveway which leads up to the cottage with plenty of space for parking. The entrance is via the front garden which overlooks the banana plantation and hosts the gazebo to one side. Other things to note You will find the retreat centrally located to Cannonvale and Proserpine, just a 20-minute drive from Airlie Beach and the Whitsunday Coast Airport (Proserpine) - the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef. Cedar Creek Falls is just down the road with Conway boat ramp nearby. Walking tracks and mountain bike trails are accessed via the nearby Conway circuit in the adjoining Conway National Park. Fresh provisions can be purchased in Proserpine, Cannonvale or Airlie Beach. For those wishing for the cottage to be stocked pre-arrival, deliveries can be organised through The Prickly Pineapple Online Store, where you will find an array of fresh fruits and vegetables, deli items, delicious salads and pre-prepared meals. Kristen - February 2021 This piece of paradise is Breathtaking x Michael and Viv have provided a truly unique and SECLUDED place to appreciate this beautiful area. The location on the map speaks for itself.... uninterrupted views, butterfly trees to entice the butterflies and in turn an array of bird life. They welcome pets and with nearby creeks to explore it offers so much to enjoy with them. Relaxing spa bath which was sparkling clean and on and waiting for us on arrival. Easy instructions for all appliances, which were all of high quality and working well. Local info for exploring nearby and supporting other local businesses which we love doing.
