Description

Breath taking picturesque views! The Burn Stag Lodge is situated on top of a hill with 360 degree views - great for sunrises sunsets or stargazing! Isolated and private from the Neighbours, the lodge allows you to escape into peaceful serenity. 5km from Nanango and on the Nan2 bike trail with easy access to BRVT links, Wineries, Bunya Mts etc. Explore the area or relax and watch the changing horizons as the day roles past. Please see details on nightly tariffs below for booking. The space If you love to exclusively watch sunrises or sunsets, or stargazing to watch the milky way slide past with no light pollution - then "The Stag" is your place!!! Along with the 360degree views comes 360degree breezes so the lodge is naturally cool in summer (with aircon for those excessively hot days) and with double insulation and a fireplace for those winter nights. Situated on a working cattle grazing property in the Nanango hinterland - The Burn Stag Lodge embraces one of the lesser known residences of Nanango bush land - The Red Deer. With this in mind, the lodge has been recently fully renovated to be as if your staying in a semi modern hunting lodge. There are two decks and a patio area to observe the surrounding hills with a quant warm indoor area to relax and unwind surrounded by hunting lodge styling. Guests exclusively have the Lodge and fenced yard around the Lodge for their stay only. All other area is considered cattle grazing property. There is an outdoor table/chair setting out in the paddock for brilliant sunset viewing. Though you will be sharing the property with our grazing cattle - they are very quiet and will likely come and say hello. Please note that as a working grazing property, we may have to be present on the property to attend to cattle and other required work, but at no point do we access the lodge or private fenced surrounding yard during your stay. The lodge access is off the northern side from the covered parking area onto the patio area to enter via the sun room on the lower floor. The lower floor contains bedrooms two and three (double & twin single), as well as a full bathroom and third toilet. The main living area design is a large semi open-plan area containing the kitchen dining and lounge room, which leads through the office/study area to the piano room. This creates an entrance to the stairwell leading up to the upper bedroom floor with queen bed, sitting/tv area, claw foot bath in the bedroom and semi open plan ensuite. Upper floor has its own private deck area overlooking the south west hinterland - ideal for watch the sun go down with a glass of red. Fire wood is supplied only during the cooler months of May through to end September, enough for a nice fire each night. The nightly rate during this period modified to reflect this inclusion. Note - there is no barrier to prevent small children accessing the stairwell - this is parental responsibility. Booking fees are based of the number of people and access to required rooms. There is no wifi system installed in the Lodge, however there is mobile service. Guest access Public road access is part bitumen with section of trafficable gravel. Advised to access via Mercer Springate Road onto Greenwood Creek Road. Access once on the property is a steep gravel track with lodge situated on top of the hill. Please drive slowly so not to spin vehicle wheels damaging the track. Also there are cattle on the property so driving slow allows the cattle time to move out of a vehicles way. Other things to note Nightly tariffs for the Lodge is based on two persons as a couple allowing for one bedroom and one bathroom. If you require two bedrooms and two bathrooms please discuss with us via airbnb message or book additional person/people. The Burn Stag Lodge is situated on working cattle grazing property, so it is expected that guests will respect the cattle on the property at all times. There is no outdoor fires of any type, no driving vehicles around the property and strictly no pets/animals to be brought to the property as Property under Biosecurity regulations. We may have to be present on the grazing property to attend to cattle and other required work, but at no point do we access the lodge or private fenced surrounding yard during your stay. Fire wood can be provided any time of the year at an additional fee - talk to us about your requirements. Other things to note - No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed - No smoking allowed inside the Lodge - Please expect free-roaming cattle and noise during your stay with us - Keep a safe distance from the cattle if venturing into the paddock. - Always remember to shut the gates before entering and leaving the paddocks - Do not try to feed the cattle any foods. - Due to the nature of the property, natural wildlife may be present on the property - for safety do not approach wildlife.
