Nestled in the small country village of Dalton, the Old Wool Co-Op - Esling Cottage provides a modern and comfortable off-grid experience in a historical setting. Just 10 minutes off the Hume Highway via Gunning NSW, the cottage is located on 2 acres in a private street surrounded by farmland and historic buildings. The space Esling Cottage is a fully self-contained open plan Cottage. It is off the grid with its own Solar power generating system. On those very hot days air conditioning is available via the cottage generator back up system. Use of the air conditioning is restricted to the hottest part of the day to conserve battery power reserves. An outdoor BBQ area is available for guests. On those special nights your host is happy to prepare a camp fire for you and your family to relax by under the stars. We are dog friendly - Well socialised and trained furry family are welcome. The entire two acre property is fenced to allow your dog to explore and run unhindered. We do allow cats provided they are toilet trained, are strictly supervised and crated at night after you retire to bed. They must not be left to wander in the cottage. We ask that you bring a cat crate, litter tray and cat litter with you. There is a cat enclosure that cats can use to get some fresh air and stretch their legs should they require. Pets must be under control at all times and are not allowed on the furniture or beds. Bedding - the listing includes a Queen bed, and king single bed and a single size trundle bed. Note the trundle bed can be lowered to ground level for a toddler suitable for children 2 years and over. Children under 2 years : The cottage is suitable for children under 2 years of age however guests will need to bring a travel cot for under 2 year olds. Guest access Outdoor BBQ Area and Gardens Other things to note Being an off grid cottage, guests are asked to turn appliances off at the power point when not in use. All appliances (except medical devices e.g. sleep apnea machines) must be turned off when retiring to bed in the evening. Rest assured you will not notice the difference to being on the grid. It is a pretty cool feeling knowing your power is coming from the sun and you are totally self-sufficient.
