Description
The Poore hut, named for the hosts and its proximity to the Poore house, is a spacious, 3 bedroom/2 bath home, located on a 2-acre shaded lot in northwest Tennessee. It’s situated on a quiet country road where you can get away from the hustle & bustle and enjoy privacy, leisurely days and dark night starry skies. The space The Hut was completely remodeled on the inside and freshened up on the outside a few years ago. It has 3 private bedrooms. One is the master bedroom with a queen-sized bed and attached master bathroom. The other two bedrooms are at the other end of the dwelling; one has twin captain beds while the other has a queen-sized bed. These two bedrooms share a full bathroom just outside their doors in the hall. There’s a spacious galley kitchen with all the necessary appliances: stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, & microwave and plenty of countertop space for food preparation. The utility room has a washer and dryer. There’s also a large living room and dining room. Between the living room and kitchen is a bar with two bar chairs for additional seating. The dining room has a large oval table with 6 chairs. The living room has a sectional sofa and a 50-inch TV with an adapter for your computer or phone and a DVD player with a large selection of DVDs. Outside, there are front and back decks for relaxing as well as a picnic table, chairs & a fire pit. In addition, there's a charcoal grill on the back deck. The master bedroom has a TV. The middle bedroom has a desk with a paper shredder and surge protector for those who need a place to work. All three bedrooms have large closets for storing your clothing & suitcases. The bedroom with twin captains beds has an older television that has a working DVD and VHS player with a large collection of DVDs and VHS tapes (mostly Disney). You may be able to watch some older movies with your younger guests and teach them exactly what “stone age” video entertainment was/is like! You'll also find a variety of board games and books to enjoy. Guest access Guests have access to the entire house and yard. We welcome families and encourage you to gather with family & friends. Other things to note Guests with pets must pay a pet fee. And should keep pets off the furniture.
