This 2 bedroom 1 bath upper duplex is the perfect place to use as your home base for any length of stay! Located in walkable neighborhood near downtown Marinette and the Menominee River, this comfortable home away from home has a private coded entrance, full kitchen with all of the essentials, smart TV, and fast internet. Large private parking in back of house. The space The building itself is tall and regal, and built in 1933. When you first enter you can see some original tin on the ceiling at the bottom of the steps. This glimpse of the original vintage ceiling speaks to the location of the house in the community, which is nestled right off of historic Riverside Avenue, along the beautiful Menominee River, where the, rich and wealthy paper barons, politicians, socialites, and even royalty settled and built their homes. There’s a self-guided tour walking tour that describes the architectural specifics of each home, as well as the home’s place in local history, and you’ll be able to walk out and take this right from your home! As a home base the home at Lester Street is cute, comfy and convenient, with plenty of space to make your own while you’re there. Guest access The washer and dryer are in the basement which you access using the door located at the back of the house. There is a full time tenant in the lower unit that shares the use of these too. The left shed at the back of the house is the one used by the upper unit. It has a trash can where you put your trash. Trash is picked up every Friday morning, or Saturday if Friday falls on a holiday. Other things to note There is a Regional Community Guide for the Marinette and Menominee, Michigan area in the home that has information on local community calendars; restaurants, events etc. I can help you out too if you have questions. We are about 1.5 hours from beautiful Door County by car which is a must see day trip while your here. Green Bay is also about 45 minutes from here (on the way to Door County if you’re going) where you’ll find a great selection of shopping, dining and entertainment options, including historic Lambeau Field, home of the NFL Green Bay Packers. When you’re there, there is a Pro-Shop for gear, restaurants and the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame this is available to tour!
