Enjoy breakfast on the patio overlooking mature private gardens whilst planning your day or stroll into the village and enjoy a delicious cooked breakfast at Sophie's Café. Experience the delights of a Dales town, Pateley Bridge, the historic village of Ripley with its castle or explore the many cycling and walking routes. After a day exploring, enjoy a relaxing dinner in one of our great local pubs or a 15 minute drive takes you to the nightlife found in the beautiful spa town of Harrogate. The space The Cowshed is a character property, converted in 2021 and redecorated this year to provide a cosy and comfortable retreat. Early in the 20th century it formed part of Hampsthwaite Head Farm and the bridge the cows used to cross the beck to be milked can still be seen today. The accommodation now offers one bedroom with a super comfortable king sized bed, a spacious shower in the bathroom and a well equipped kitchenette. We are just a 2 minute walk away from the Joiners pub, Sophie’s Café and Sophie's well-stocked corner shop. There are a number of other fantastic local pubs close by offering excellent home-cooked food and local beers. Pateley Bridge, Ripon, Knaresborough and York are all nearby. Other local attractions include Ripley Castle, Brimham Rocks and Fountains Abbey. The Cowshed is also an ideal place to stay for walkers and cyclists, with the Nidderdale Way walk starting from the village. Guest access The property is in the centre of the village with free parking available on our driveway. Other things to note We have an adorable Cockerpoo who loves to greet guests on arrival and will bring a smile to your face.
