Set in 3 acres of grounds this self-contained property benefits from well-appointed accommodation with beautiful views from all windows towards the garden, private outside dining area & 10x5m in-ground pool (May-Sep). The lovely gardens are home to numerous fruit & nut trees, and shared by the owners resident donkeys, chickens and 5 rescue cats. The space This delightful single-storey cottage was formerly a stable annexed to the main coach house which is occupied by the owners, and has been sympathetically renovated maintaining many original features. The property consists of private entrance, one bedroom with king-sized bed, pretty shower room/WC and well-equipped open-plan kitchen/living room. All windows are double-glazed and have insect screens for guest comfort in summer, and electric heating is available for warmth in winter. Both the bedroom and main living room have cathedral ceilings revealing original beams. Guests can stay connected (should they wish!) with free Wi-Fi and cable TV for which they can choose English or French channels. There is also a selection of DVDs, books and games available. The fabulous 10mx5m (unheated) in ground pool is open May-September. There are ample sitting and sunbathing areas around the pool for lazy days in the sun. A private BBQ and dining pavilion is also provided. The property is accessed via a private gated car park with ample parking. Guest access Ample off-road parking within gated car park. The centre of Le Dorat is easily reached in a few minutes walk. Guests have their own private entrance and garden. Communal areas include the car park, pool, and games field. There is one other two bedroom gite which may be occupied at time of visit. Other things to note Pets are not permitted due to allergies and the presence of resident animals. A polite request to keep the car park gate closed and locked at all times. Only residents are permitted to use the property and facilities. Permission for occasional day visitors is at the discretion of the owner.
