Description

Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. Set in rice fields a few kilometres from the nearest village, join us at our home in one of Thailand’s less well known provinces, Kalasin. You’ll have a private double bedroom with its own bathroom and direct access to a 27 square metre balcony, the perfect place to read, write, work, or just listen and watch as nature takes it’s course. The space Your view will be The One Tree we named our newly established farm after, which is next to our family rice fields. The room is a small but adequate space. We think you’ll spend most of your time outside, so you can walk out your room directly on to our huge balcony, or even walk around our garden. Guest access We are located in the middle of fields in Sahatsakhan district so parking is not an issue. Finding us might be, but if you search The One Tree Farm on google maps it should be pretty easy. During your stay You’ll be staying in our house so we’re happy to help you whatever you need. We’ve discovered plenty of good morning walks, short and long, and you’re welcome to join us every morning. There’s always someone around the farm and everyone here is friendly and helpful. Other things to note There are a few local attractions, and dinosaurs take centre stage. Bones were found in the area in the 80s and there is a decent museum about 15km from us. A popular local temple is within sight. Visit it to see peacocks, deer and other wildlife that live on its grounds. There’s a huge variety of birds in the area and we have still to recognise most of them. You are welcome to help us identify more! Despite being far from the city there are plenty of things to see and do - or you can chill on the balcony and get in touch with nature. In addition to our bedroom we also have tents. These can be placed in the garden or on the balcony - perfect if you have a couple of young kids. Or kids at heart. We can set up a small BBQ in the garden, and we are happy to provide any meal. Steamed local fish with sticky rice and nam prik (made freshly by 70 year old Yai Ma) is a favourite. We’re very easy going and have moved here after 20 years of city life. Come and see what country living is all about.
