Call me Yak :) Newly decorated designer flat on the mezzanine floor of a typical turn-of-the-century townhouse. 540 sq. ft with high ceilings in Central Hanover, only 5 min from the main station, university of music and the unique city forest. Trade fair & airport 20-30 min. The space . DESIGN The rich blue colour scheme helps you find your inner mojo again. A few choice kitschy objects in gold and dusky pink emphasise the arty ambiente. The South-facing sun-drenched bedroom and living room are overlooking a magical garden, a true city oasis. Daytime shade and nighttime privacy are easily achieved - all windows feature both roller blinds and blackout curtains. FEATURES You’ll instantly feel at home, everything seems to be in place already. Budding Michelin chefs will find all kitchen tools and spices, a large selection of books and board games will ease the rainy Sunday blues. If you’re brave enough you can challenge me to a game of Scrabble (either language) too - I only live next door. Business travellers will find a desk complete with multiple power sockets and USB charge points, fast WiFi included. A mobile AC unit can be positioned anywhere close to a slightly opened window or door. The safety and well-being of guests is my Number One priority. Detectors for gas, smoke and fire are mounted everywhere, I also provide a first-aid kit, fire extinguisher, fire blanket, plus even an escape ladder. Still, it is worth adding that thankfully there’s never been a fire in this house, nor have there been any burglaries. The lack of the latter may well be due to nickname of this part of town - the 'judicial quarter'. NUMBER OF GUESTS The double bed features a reversible mattress allowing different degrees of firmness. In addition the living room’s modular furniture can easily be rearranged to form a flat surface, creating a second bed complete with mattress topper. However, this arrangement may not be suitable for guests wishing to stay for a longer period of time. Hence I recommend this beautiful flat for one or two guests, that way the living room remains intact without having to change the layout every night. Guest access . This large property was divided into two units. Access to the flat advertised is via a shared hallway. Complete privacy is ensured with a separate lockable door. The doorbell features an intercom system. Drivers usually find free parking spaces in the immediate vicinity. There is also a number of multi-storey car parks nearby. Walking from Hbf Central Station: exit rear right (after platform 14) immediately after the Sportbar. Keep walking across the pedestrian crossing (traffic lights), then head diagonally left and walk alongside the Amtsgericht (County Court). First right into Hinüberstrasse, after 200m you're here. The central location allows for round-the-clock shopping and dining, even if it means McDonalds at 4am. Other things to note . For insurance reasons a number of CCTV cameras and other detectors had to be installed in the main flat. Your flat is not affected by this - ‘Big Brother’ stays outside. Due to some neighbours the shared hallway may occasionally smell of smoke. The guest flat remains non-smoking as advertised. I charge an additional €30 weekly cleaning fee for guests staying eight nights or more. No additional guests staying overnight without a booking or request.
