Description
Comfy, oddball studio that preserves the pre-gentrified bohemian feeling of Troy circa 2005. Lovingly constructed by mysterious artisan Oswaldo who stayed in November 2005 and then disappeared, leaving this gem as part of his local legacy. In the heart of downtown Troy, two doors from TAKK house, sharing the alley with Peck's, blocks from Saturday farmers market, walking distance from RPI. This unit is private but the large kitchen and laundry (green floor) is occasionally accessed by hosts. The space This space was handcrafted with love. It is basically a studio apartment in the center of a building -- not a lot of natural light but a great place to sleep with a king bed that easily sleeps three, if that is your thing. There is a VHS VCR and a box set of twin peaks, among other special features. There is also a new 46 inch modern flat screen with ROKU (I finally gave in and upgraded!) Fast Wifi, shared full kitchen just outside the apartment door. (Shared with one other unit, the Chromium Compound, when it is not a bike shop.) Some vintage board games and books. This is an experience, not just a place to lay your head. Guest access Entrance to the flat is from the back alley (Franklin alley). It is wise to drop stuff off and then park where you can leave the car, if you are hanging in downtown Troy you won't need a car lots of things in walking distance. Other things to note THIS PLACE IS A LITTLE WEIRD! IF YOU ARE WEIRDED OUT BY WEIRD DON'T BOOK IT.
