This home is a perfect Julian getaway for friends and/or families w/children. The interior features an open floor plan with beautiful modern kitchen, dining table for 8 plus additional table for 4, and original stone wood burning fireplace. The house is kid friendly and has games and toys for a wide range of ages - with a bonus outdoor jungle-gym and playhouse. For adults, there is an outdoor deck with BBQ + additional seating along with a hot tub and fire pit to gather under the stars. Carnick Cabin is accessed by a long driveway and is secluded in Pine Hills for privacy. There is ample parking for up to 8 cars on the property. Upon entering the home, visitors are welcomed by an open layout connecting living room, family room, dining room, and kitchen. There is even a separate area designated for up to 2 furry friends with dog beds inside and sully enclosed dog run outside. There are 4 separate bedrooms and 3 full baths, with one half bath. The house sleeps MAX of 14 adults (2 kings, 3 queens, 2 doubles) + 1 child (loft upper bunk bed) + 2 infant (cribs). Guest have private exclusive use of the 1 acre property. Host lives around the corner and is available by text in case of emergency. Check in is easy with entry code sent on day of arrival along with directions. Pine Hills is a quiet Julian community with many long standing residents who enjoy the peace and serenity of nature. The neighborhood is abundant with creatures that inhabit the mountains so expect to see lots of deer, turkey, rabbits, and squirrels during your visit. You may even get a glimpse of hawks and eagles if you focus your sights on the sky. Julian is also a dark sky community great for stargazing at night. Carnick Cabin is a quick 10 minute drive to either Julian town center or Wynola. There are many nearby hiking trails (check my Airbnb guidebook) both in and around William Heise Park. Access to Pine Hills is challenging immediately after heavy snowfall. Timing is unpredictable from year to year, but guests will get full refund up to day of arrival for weather conditions that prohibit access. In any case, 4WD and chains often become mandatory after snowfall and Sheriffs will block access to vehicles up the mountain otherwise for safety.
