House on the lake in the center of Kamouraska

This residence is located in the middle of nature while being only 3 minutes from a grocery store and 7 minutes from Highway 20. Built in 2013 with a traditional carpentry technique, the house rests on a heated concrete floor that keeps the house cool in summer and warm in winter. Access to the lake is immediate via the beach located on the grounds. Walking trails are accessible on foot, and the main attractions of the area are located within 15 minutes by car The space The house consists of 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom is enhanced by a habitable attic accessible by a ladder and in which there is a single bed that can accommodate an additional guest. Privacy is however shared with the master bedroom below. Another attic is accessible via another bedroom and serves as a place of fun for children. A second single bed is also installed in this 2nd attic. The other two bedrooms have a single bed and a double bed respectively. There are two living rooms and two bathrooms (one on each floor), a kitchen, a porch and a large gallery. The bath is on the 2nd floor in the master bedroom, close to an outdoor balcony with lake views. Other things to note The cellular network is via Wi-Fi (Wi-Fi call). With Telus, you get cell coverage near the lake, but you really have to connect via the internet. Personally, I have been teleworking for 5 years and the Wi-Fi network is very functional. Also, like many lakes in Quebec, Lac Saint-Pierre occasionally has a blue algae problem, which can make it unsuitable for swimming. Unfortunately, outbreaks occur suddenly and cannot be predicted in advance. In addition, in order to preserve water quality and in particular to prevent the arrival of the zebra mussel, the use of boats from outside is no longer permitted. Only boats already owned by residents and strictly reserved for sailing on Lac St-Pierre are allowed. For this reason, we provide guests with a canoe, two pedal boats, a children's kayak and a paddle board (paddles and life jackets included).
