La Obrera: centrally-located home, 500 WiFi, premium bed

Description

Experience Mexico City from our home in La Obrera, a 15-minute walk from the historic downtown and a few blocks from Metro Doctores (Line 8). We're a family who lives here (Paul, Tila, our son Luca, and three rescue dogs) and we love making you feel at home. You'll have a private bedroom with a premium memory-foam bed, full access to the kitchen, living room and balcony, 500 Mbps fiber internet ideal for working, and constant hot water. The bathroom is shared with the family. The space Your private bedroom has a PREMIUM LUUNA memory-foam mattress for great sleep, plus a closet, shelves, coat rack, mirror and a private lock for your peace of mind. It has a double roller blind you can adjust to darken the room or let light in while keeping your privacy. The window faces the building's interior, so during the day you may hear everyday neighbor activity (chatting, soft music), normal city living. We provide earplugs in case you prefer total silence while sleeping. You have full access to the kitchen, living and dining room, and our balcony, perfect for coffee or for smoking outdoors. Hot water is constant thanks to our Bosch heater, with a rainfall shower at a warm, pleasant temperature (~39 °C), which you can fine-tune with a little cold water. 500 Mbps Telmex fiber internet with two hardwired Huawei BE3 access points (one next to your room and the main one in the living room), great for video calls and remote work. Speed in your room may vary slightly. LG front-load washer-dryer: we're happy to run it for you whenever you need, at no charge. Free cleaning on Wednesdays (subject to availability), great for longer stays. Purified water and unlimited coffee and tea. Guest access We're usually home to welcome you in person on arrival. We're centrally located with three nearby metro stations (closest: Metro Doctores, Line 8). Easy to reach by car: there's private parking half a block away or street parking right in front. The historic downtown is a 15-minute walk, with museums, restaurants and plazas; and there are shops, cafes and taco stands nearby at all hours. During your stay We live in the apartment, so we're here to help with anything you need; we usually start a chat to stay in touch during your stay. My wife Tila and I work from home, and our 6-year-old son Luca usually plays quietly at home. We can spend time with you or give you space, whatever you prefer. Other things to note We share our home with three well-behaved, affectionate rescue dogs: Coco is very social (though sensitive to sudden noises), Haku is more reserved but loving once he trusts you, and baby Mina gives you a warm welcome. They're used to guests. If you have allergies or any concerns about pets, please message us before booking. The neighborhood is safe, with public security cameras (C5) on the surrounding streets. For your safety and ours, we have a camera at the apartment entrance. Key rules: 2-night minimum; no weekend check-ins; maximum 2 guests.
