Northern Lights Guest House

We welcome you to the Nordlicht guest house in the middle of the wilderness of southern Lapland. It is a cozy warm traditional Swedish hut. A cozy wood-burning stove warms the cabin. Here you will find peace and quiet. In the cabin there is a kitchen, bathroom, dining room and bedroom. Right next to it is a kota (barbecue hut) that can be used. Fishing is possible on the nearby lake Skäggvattnet with plenty of large fish. The nearest ski resort Kittelfjäll is 50 km away. The space Traditional Swedish cottage with beautiful wooden walls inside. A wood-burning stove provides cozy warmth in the cabin. A comfortable double bed and a comfortable bunk bed 90 x 200 cm. The cottage has one bedroom, bathroom with shower and underfloor heating, a well-equipped kitchen with microwave, oven and electric stove, dishwasher and fridge with freezer and a cozy living/dining room with pull-out couch and large cabinets. Free Wi-Fi/Internet. In the common room at the shed, you can use washing machines and laundry dryers. A rowboat is available on Lake Skäggvattnet about 900 m away. The kota (barbecue hut) in front of the hut can be used. From there, even in great cold, the northern lights can be observed wonderfully. A small table with chairs invites you to drink coffee in the sunshine on the terrace. On the large table in front of the cabin you can eat together or just watch the sunset. An infrared heat cabin overlooking the forest and the northern lights invites you to relax. It is on the west side of the cabin. A large cozy wood-fired sauna, the tree house sauna, is located 40 m above the Nordlichthütte on the edge of the forest. Right next to the sauna runs a small stream. You can cool off there after the sauna. Use of the sauna is possible by arrangement. In winter you can go skiing in Kittelfjäll about 50 km away, There are also many cross-country ski trails in the surrounding area. The stunning winter landscape of Lapland invites you for extensive snowshoe hikes and walks. Ice fishing is possible at the nearby Skäggvattnet Lake. With a little luck, you can watch the northern lights right in front of the cabin by the campfire. Snowmobile rental is also available in the area and makes an extensive tour on the nearby snowmobile routes an unforgettable experience. Sled dog tours are also possible in the region. In summer and autumn, the area is full of colors and long days. You can go mountain biking and beautiful hikes in the mountains, go fishing, collect mushrooms and berries and make a campfire and barbecue in front of the cabin at the fire pit. Parking in front of the cabin. The carport is available for use. A covered washing area with running water for cleaning the fish is located behind the shed. Snowshoes and life jackets can be rented by arrangement. A fenced dog run with a dog house is located behind the cabin. On the farm there is a vacant spacious kennel for up to 30 sled dogs. The kennel facility can be rented by arrangement for the accommodation of sled dogs. Guest access Cabin and the whole wilderness :-) Other things to note The guest cleans the cabin upon departure, Bed linen and towels must be brought, (A package for 200 kr/person, with bed linen and two towels can be rented) Pets are allowed, but are not allowed on the couch, chairs, beds or blankets. (Dog droppings must be removed) Fishing on the lake, Good places for mushrooms and berries on the premises. Good opportunities for animal watching (moose, grouse, black grouse). The property borders on state land in the mountains where you can buy hunting and fishing licenses. This is several hundred thousand acres of small game and fishing land.
