Come relax at our expansive waterfront retreat and experience the natural beauty of the Texas Hill Country.  The charming rustic garden cottage on the 1.5 acre property is a natures lovers paradise with amenities that include over 100 feet of waterfront, sprawling outdoor living spaces, and a private boat dock. Set directly across from a beautiful nature preserve, this serene stretch of Lake Austin is an ideal escape while still within reach of all the excitement that Austin has to offer. The space The 2BR/2Bath cottage sleeps 6 guests. Both bedrooms have double bunk queen beds. The house offers spacious living and dining areas adjacent to a massive outdoor entertaining deck with spectacular Lake Austin views. Lots of open area surrounds our cottage giving home to many different types of wildlife.  It is a nature lover's dream out here where you'll see all kinds of birds, critters and can fish for big mouth bass! Our waterfront is next to Selma Hughes Park which is 5 acres with 400 feet of grassy shoreline.  We have a shallow water area great for smaller kids and the dock is ready for your boat with the closest launch just 2 miles away at Mary Quinlan Park. Guest access We respect your privacy but are a quick step away if you have any questions, the private cottage is separate from owner’s house but is on the same property. The rental includes use of the main cottage, porch-with-a-view, and enclosed children's play area.  Also included is shared access to our boat dock with water slide and waterfront lawn area. Other things to note As a monthly rental the use of the rental is only for booking guests and not for overnight guests, events, or parties. As a short term rental for large groups or events this property rents for $1000/night. When responding please provide background on occupants, employment, and purpose of visit. As a cautious home owner the more information shared upon booking the more comfortable we are in accepting reservations.
