Dedicated to mind and body wellness, this cabin comes complete with local organic bath and beauty products to enhance your experience, along with a magical meditation loft, and eco-luxe linens to wrap you up in wellness. Perfect for mindful retreats or romantic getaways. Pet Friendly + New Mini-Split AC The space The Zen Den has a long and storied history as a space of spiritual reflection and whole-body rejuvenation. Carrying on this tradition, we have intentionally reduced the space of any clutter - in order to create space for you to calm your mind, step out of the hustle bustle city mindset, and tune in to the slow-moving magic of the mountains. Pet friendly with a $100 pet fee - up to 3 pets. Note About Children: The space is not designed for children - there is open access to a high loft with ladder, nothing is childproofed. By booking this property you accept full liability for the safety of yourselves, your pets, and your children. Only 1 car can be accommodated. The Zen Den was designed to be a place of mindful contemplation and spiritual wellness. A place to "disconnect, to reconnect" in the glorious mountains of Idyllwild. Because of this, you will find the optional 32" Smart TV tucked away in the closet when you arrive. That being said, it is lightweight and portable - easy to move anywhere in the house you might like to enjoy it. The Smart TV is compatible with all major streaming apps. It should also be noted that the ZEN DEN sits on the same property as 2 other wellness cabins. There are no shared spaces. Each cabin has private outdoor deck and/or garden areas. Your exclusive outdoor space features cozy patio furniture, a table for eating alfresco, outdoor solar lights, a hammock, a fire pit, and beautiful nature views to enjoy. ***HOUSE RULES*** Once again, This property has not been designed for children. It is not childproofed, and has open access to a high loft and ladder. By booking this property, you the parent/adult accept FULL LIABILITY for the safety of yourself and any children or pets staying with you. We ask that both adults, children, and pets respect the QUIETUDE of the wellness lodge property. This space has been designed as a place for rest and rejuvenation. Pets are allowed with a $100 Pet Fee. Please make sure you have added your pet to your reservation under the number/type of guests. If you are having trouble, message us. PET RULES: 1. Up to 3 animals allowed 3. Must be POTTY TRAINED - you will be charged in addition to your pet fee for any pet accidents. 4. FRIENDLY, WELL-SOCIALIZED dogs only. 5. Dog must be ON LEASH WHEN OUTSIDE, AT ALL TIMES. Breaking this rule will result in you being asked to leave the property. 6. Pets CANNOT be left unattended - EVER. Pet must GO WITH YOU everywhere you go, including meals out (this is a pet-friendly town, call the restaurant ahead of time to ask for a pet friendly table). 7. Pay the $100 pet fee - this happens automatically if your pet is included in the reservation. If you did not include your pet, then you will need to ADD THEM to your reservation where you indicate the number of guests. QUIET HOURS are strictly observed between 10pm-8am. That means no music that anyone outside of your cabin can hear, no yelling, and no hanging out with music or being loud outside. You can quietly stargaze at all hours - but NO AUDIBLE NOISE after 10pm. NO SMOKING INDOORS - of any kind!!! But FOR REAL THOUGH! You will be charged an EXTRA CLEANING FEE if you smoke indoors - and believe me, we can smell it. This is why an extra cleaning fee is charged - it takes a lot of work to get the smell out before the next guest arrives. 420 friendly ***OUTSIDE ONLY*** But FOR REAL THOUGH! We have a contract with the cleaning service that does not accommodate late check-outs. A $50/per hour fee will be charged for checkouts after 11am to cover the fees that will be charged by the cleaning service, thank you in advance for your understanding. These fees will be taken out of your security deposit. If you STAIN something, SAY SOMETHING. If you BREAK something, SAY SOMETHING. Let us know ASAP when something is stained or broken. We understand accidents happen, and if we see that you've done your best to help us take care of it (ie: trying to get the stain out yourself, and letting us know it exists so the cleaner can attend to it 1st thing OR if a glass breaks, just say something so we can try to get it replaced). For simple accidents like that, we won't charge you if you SAY SOMETHING. If you leave surprise stains or breakage that makes my cleaners have to scramble to replace because they weren't expecting it - then most likely you will be charged. So, SAY SOMETHING. Thank you! BIOHAZARD WASTE (ie: vomit/blood) & sheet stains NOT immediately reported to us PLUS reasonably attended to by the guest (ie: evidence you tried to get the stain out yourself or at least soak it in water) WILL be subject to additional cleaning fees. Please remember this isn't a hotel - it's a personal space we are sharing with you - please treat it with respect. EXCESSIVE TRASH/FILTH will be met with additional cleaning fees added to your bill. NO PARTIES - seriously though. We live down the street, and a tenant lives on-site as our backup - please don't make things awkward and have us knock on your door and keep your deposit... **NO LOUD MUSIC EVER EVER EVER** - this is a MEDITATION and WELLNESS space. We have noise monitors that monitor decibel levels to keep the property mellow for all the cabins on the property... please don't be "that person" ruining the peaceful vibe for your fellow wellness-minded travelers. NO ADDITIONAL GUESTS - only registered guests are allowed on the property. You MUST inform us in advance if ANYONE else will be visiting the property to get proper approval - this is for the safety and security of all our guests. Please WASH DISHES before you leave - this not only helps prevent insect infestation, but honestly it's just an "AirBnB folk" type of thing. This isn't a hotel - we are sharing a magical and personal space with you, please treat it as you would a dear friend's house and all will be well. Thank you! NO REFUNDS for stays when there is snow or a storm in the forecast unless the mountain is IMPASSABLE. If the roads are open, NO REFUNDS. Power shutoffs due to high winds or tree maintenance can happen without warning. This Eco-Conscious Tiny Home is designed to conserve energy and have the smallest carbon footprint possible. With that in mind, the following eco-friendly guidelines must be followed in order for you to enjoy consistent power, water, and heat while staying at the Zen Den: APPLIANCES - only use ONE at a time! Only use ONE appliance at a time. This means you either use the hot plate, OR the blender, OR the microwave, but NEVER at the same time. For the love of God, PLEASE do not plug in an electric car! If you do any of these things, you will blow the breaker, and we will try our best to get an electrician out to help you... but they often cannot come same day, and never at night. HOT WATER CONSERVATION Tiny House = Tiny Water Heater. Take a peek under the counter closest to the front door. That is ALL your hot water. If you use it all up, you will need to wait several hours for it to regenerate. Our best advice: Take short showers, not baths. If 2 people or more are staying, stagger your shower times so the hot water heater has time to regenerate for you. Do not wash hot dishes before bathing, if a hot shower is important to you. Being aware of your water usage will keep you cozy and comfortable, and is a beautiful part of the eco-friendly Tiny House experience. OOPS! THE POWER WENT OUT! WHAT DO WE DO? The best advice we can offer is to open the cupboard closest to the front door. Turn all the breakers OFF with a decent amount of force (if you don’t push it too hard, it won’t do a thing). Then turn them back ON with a decent amount of force - but not TOO much, don’t break it please! Still not working? USE THE BACKUP SYSTEMS OUTLINED BELOW until 10am the following morning. You can also try using this emergency contact, they are authorized to work on the property if they are available, but you will need to pay them directly if the power outage was due to improper usage. ‭ Please understand this is a small mountain town, and only 911 is available all the time, so you may need to wait until morning. BACK UPS WHEN THE POWER GOES OUT LIGHTS: There is a rechargeable lantern in the Living Room + battery operated lanterns under the kitchen sink. Instructions for everyone are to keep the chargeable lantern plugged in and charging when not in use. Please feel free to enjoy it outside, but PLEASE plug it back in when not in use - for both your sake, and for future guests, thank you! HEAT: The wood burning stove is an EXCELLENT heat source and will keep you toasty warm. Instructions for use & where to get wood can be found in the physical house manual on the coffee table. OUTSIDE LIGHTS KEEP GOING ON & OFF! Those are motion sensor lights that activate our security cameras. We do everything we possibly can to make sure you are safe while enjoying your time at the Zen Den. Please only park in the space assigned to The Zen Den to avoid inconveniencing other guests in the surrounding cabins on property. 10 minute walk to coffee/tea and brunch/lunch. 10 minute walk to beautiful vista lookout. 3 minute drive to the main part of town. 5-10 minute drives to many hiking trails. 20-30 minute drive to water play: Lake Hemet or Hurkey Creek in one direction, and Lake Fulmor in the other.
