Description
Looking to stay tucked in the trees in a serene setting yet convenient to outdoor activities and restaurants? Our modern rustic cabin awaits! With a sleeping loft [*two twins OR a king], full kitchen, and private deck, this is a cozy spot to unwind with all of the necessary comforts and no cleaning fee. We are 15 mins from downtown Stowe, 30-60 mins away from 4+ ski areas, 1 hour from Burlington Airport, 1.5 miles from the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail and a short drive to various breweries! The space Once a [storage] barn, this remodeled cabin offers an open floor plan with a living room, full kitchen, dining area, back deck, and bathroom on the first floor and an open sleeping loft upstairs. ✦ Loft offers a cozy spot to dream beneath the pitched roof. The memory foam beds can be set up as two twins OR a king with warm, flannel sheets in the winter and cool cotton in the summer. ✦ Kitchen has a fridge, freezer, four-burner gas cooktop, oven, microwave, and coffeemakers for your cooking needs. We supply pots, pans, utensils, salt and pepper. BYOB - bring your own beans - but lots of caffeinated and herbal tea available! We do ask that guests help separate food waste from trash due to VT composting law (see house manual). ✦ Living room has a memory foam double sleeper sofa in front of an adorable potbelly gas heating stove for those bone chilling days. Come home from your adventures and relax with a movie on the flat screen Smart TV or a good book. ✦ Sip your morning brew or evening brewski on the private back deck, or roll out your yoga mat and relax beneath the forest canopy. There’s also a small gas grill available for those who prefer to grill outside. ✦ Bathroom contains a full-length walk-in shower with a heated floor! The cabin sits back against the woods off of a private, dead-end road, perfect for taking a stroll or run. If you’re lucky, you may hear or spot wildlife. We have a few barred owls in the woods, lots of deer, coyotes, bears, raccoons, and sometimes foxes. We’re lovers of the outdoors and can always provide recommendations. Our Area Guide also contains some of our fav local spots in Northern Vermont. Guest access One parking spot guaranteed in front of walkway to cabin. We highly recommend a car, as public transportation consists of very limited bus routes in the downtown. The entrance to the cabin contains four steps down from the driveway, uneven stone pathway, and three steps up to the front door, so it is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible. Other things to note Our home is also on the property, just across the yard, and we share the driveway, so you may see us [or our cats] coming and going, shoveling the walk, gardening, or chatting with our neighbors. We invite you to use the Smart TV and connect your devices for browsing but be aware that the space is not suited for large quantities of downloading/uploading or remote working. Rural road? Yes, it's dirt! It's only about the last half mile but be wary of road/driveway conditions, especially in the winter.
