Cozy Fairplay 3BR/1BH, 23 mi to Breck
Enjoy a cozy stay at this peaceful mountain retreat! This house is a two min walk to Fairplay's Main Street and historic South Park City. It is drivable to many ski resorts (Breck, Keystone, A-Basin, Copper, Monarch, Cooper, etc). Or just an ideal weekend escape to get away from city life. It comfortably sleeps six, with plenty of parking and amenities to feel right at home. This house is built in 1935, giving it lots of character and endearing quirks. PERMIT #2023016593 This house is a true mountain residence, ready for you to settle in and live the small town charm which is Fairplay. There are three bedrooms, two feature queens and one is a set of full-size bunkbeds. There is a full kitchen, ready for cooking meals- I'll admit it's small, but all the better to cuddle up around the table and enjoy good company. There is a laundry/mudroom to keep all your gear- and clean it if necessary. The living room has a 43" TV and my dorky favorite part- a very fake electric fireplace- IT'S FUN. The bathroom has bathtub/shower combo and a double-sink vanity. There is an empty shed out back and plenty of parking, both on the property as well as the street. The house is accessible via a door code- and once inside you can choose to use the code or I have a keys available if you prefer. I live in Denver, and will be available 24/7 via phone. I can drive to the house, but it will take ~1.5 hrs Fairplay is known as the official Trout Fishing Capital of Colorado. Anglers, be sure to bring your fishing gear, as you’ll want to throw a line in more than 50 miles of Gold Medal trout streams. By definition, these streams offer the highest quality trout habitat and greatest potential for angling success in Colorado. Hikers, mountain bikers, hunters, OHVers and more find plenty of quiet places to keep them busy as well. Tie Hack trail is a good spot just outside town that leads hikers and snowshoers along old logging roads, and Limber Grove Trail passes through a grove of ancient and twisted Bristlecone pine trees. The house is walkable to the historic downtown area- however you'll want a vehicle with 4WD to get around town and up into the surrounding mountains.
