BESIDES THIS APARTMENT, WE ALSO HAVE TWO ADDITIONAL LUXURIOUS APARTMENTS FOR RENT. ALL THREE APARTMENTS ARE LISTED ON THE AIRBNB WEBSITE. WE ARE IN CU KHOI, LONG BIEN, HANOI. IF ONE APARTMENT IS BOOKED, BE SURE TO CLICK ON OUR OTHER TWO FEATURED APARTMENTS TO CHECK AVAILABILITY. WHETHER YOU ARE COMING ALONE OR WITH FRIENDS CHANCES ARE WE HAVE ENOUGH ROOM. OUR VILLA CAN HOST UP TO 12 PEOPLE AT ONE TIME. OUR STORY: 18 years ago this property was a rose-apple orchard still in the "country". Here, we built our family home. Over the years Hanoi has crept up to our gate. Now, the Hanoi Rose-Apple Villa is like an oasis in the midst of Hanoi's concrete urban sprawl. As a guest, you can have a taste of what Hanoi was like 20 years ago with its beautiful garden and surrounding orchards, yet we're only 20 minutes from the Old Quarter. We invite you to come and stay with us and enjoy our hospitality while in Hanoi. Since our family grew smaller, we have renovated our home to include four luxurious apartments. When you stay with us you will enjoy all the comforts of home. Each apartment includes a private entrance, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable living/dining room and a spacious bedroom(s) with a shower. The living room in the garden apartment opens onto a small porch with steps leading down into the garden. You can also enjoy other amenities such as air conditioning (and heating in cold weather), internet, a 40" flat screen Smart TV and laundry facilities. Because we are located on the edge of the city with more trees and less traffic, we enjoy better air quality. Guest access Both the living room and bedroom has access to a nice size terrace, which is private. If you would like to sit in the yard there are places to do that by the "horse" shed. Other things to note For short stays we happily provide a simple wecome basket with some breakfast items, which may include items such as in seasonal fruit, instant noodles, etc. We, also, make available tea and NesCafe instant coffee for those who need coffee to start the day. For those who are staying longer, you can easily bring home all the groceries you will need from the Aeon Mall which has a large supermarket. We also offer a simple breakfast menu with 3 traditional Vietnamese breakfast items for a fee. *The bedroom has one comfortable queen-sized bed. In case of having a 3rd person, our sofa has a high quality cushion/mattress which can be transformed into a bed for sleeping at night. *Hanoi is a city of 10 million people. There is going to be noise. How much depends on the day and hour. If you like to wake up late and need absolute quiet then you may need to look at staying in a more expensive hotel or in a highrise apartment building (no guarantee there either). Our neighborhood is usually very quiet starting from early evening until dawn. After that our "village" slowly wakes up and the day begins. People living in other parts of the city do comment that our part of the city is quieter when they visit us. But, if you need some serious sleep and can't be disturbed by any kind of noise, we suggest playing some light background music or using ear plugs. We have both available here at the Rose-Apple Villa. One recent guest from Australia said, "We have stayed in a lot of places here in Asia, and your place is as quiet as it gets in a big city environment." *For those of you who might be allergic to animals be aware we do have two pet cats and two small poodles on our property. They do not enter into any of the apartments we rent. But that doesn't mean you can't be affected by the hair. *Our place is approximately 25 minutes to downtown by Grab. For some this might be inconvenient, but recently we had one couple come to the Rose-Apple Villa after staying in a few different Airbnbs downtown. Reason: the construction workers never stopped for the night. They couldn't stand the jack-hammers and other construction sounds anymore. They also mentioned the Karaoke going on into the night. So they searched for a quieter place. They found it by staying at the Rose-Apple Villa. So, for some our place may be a little inconvenient, but the tradeoff is our neighborhood is more peaceful, especially at night. Fortunately, most guests don't have a problem taking a Grab car or Grab bike to where they want to go. Some even catch a ride on the public bus. We have one that will take you downtown and one that will take you to the Aeon mall. *We did recently have one guest give us a 2-star rating for location. As it turns out, he felt like he had to go downtown to eat all his meals. Upon arrival, we do tell people about what their food options are. But, the couple who got "jackhammered" out of downtown suggested that we put all the food options people have in the description. I thought that was a good idea. So, here I am. For those of you who might be thinking about food, here are your options when you stay at the Rose-Apple Villa: First of all, we give a few complimentary items to our guests when they first arrive, which usually includes some fruit, instant noodles, tea and instant coffee. We also have a water filter in the apartment. Secondly, for breakfast each day, I do offer a simple breakfast menu, which includes: yogurt with in-season fruit, egg sandwich, and pho (noodle soup with chicken or beef). I also offer another traditional Vietnamese noodle dish. If you are interested in eating locally, our village has a variety of shops and restaurants within a 10-15 minute walk. You can enjoy a variety of "street food" that the locals enjoy. We also have some Vietnamese style restaurants. You can take a walk and locate the places yourself or if you would like, my husband and I, would be happy to show you. Eating locally, you can enjoy Vietnamese cuisine at reasonable prices. For fancier restaurants and western food the Aeon mall has it all. Apart from restaurants you can also eat at the food court on first floor next to the supermarket. The mall is only 3.4 km from the Villa. You can take Grab, or a public bus. Some of our guests have even enjoyed walking there. It's only about a 35 minute walk. Of course, another option that most of our guests use at least once during their stays with us is the "home delivery" option using Grab Food. Finally, each of our apartments has a kitchen that actually is usable. You can cook a meal as if you were at home. Upon arrival, you can go shopping at the Aeon supermarket at the mall, or I can take you to our local outdoor market where you can buy many of the things you need to cook at the apartment. I hope this helps.
