As well as being a drive away from Scotland's great ski slopes, you are also close to the spectacularly scenic NC500 route, where classic cars roar past, and make you feel like you are stepping back in time. Deer Stalking / Fishing / Pony Trekking can all be arranged directly with the lodge subject to availability. You are surrounded by some of the best fine dining experiences in the UK, including a 2 Michelin starred restaurant on the breathtaking Isle Of Skye and there is a local pub within walking distance. In house catering may also be possible - please enquire for more information. Other things to note Nice to know: The house is serviced by oil central heating and in addition there are 3 working open fires. All fuel for the heating and open fires is included within the rent, as is all electricity. The Lodge has a smart TV, a DVD player and a Bluetooth speaker. Bed linen and towels are included. A cot is available. The lodge has 3 large roll-top baths and 3 showers. A highchair and stair gates are available for children. A gun cabinet is provided for the stalking season. Garden furniture and children’s swings in the rear garden area. BBQ provided with tools (Charcoal not included). There is ample car parking adjacent to the Lodge. There is a very small shop in Shiel itself, which is located 1/4 mile from the Lodge for very basic provisions but there is also a Co-op supermarket in the town of Kyle of Lochalsh (20 minutes drive) as well as the possibility of getting Asda home delivery direct to the lodge. THE FIVE SISTERS OF KINTAIL The mountain range which consists of 6 (NOT 5) peaks is a great challenge to Mountaineers and Hillwalkers The ‘Five Sisters’ or ‘Beinn Mhor’, in Gaelic meaning ‘big mountain'. They can be a technical challenge second to none, and in winter months offer one of the best challenges in Scotland if not the whole of Great Britain.
