With stunning views in all directions, this retreat is ideal for couples and families looking to relax and/ or explore the many attractions of the upper Hunter region. The cottage is a short drive (2 mins) to the town of Gresford where you will find all amenities including local produce, butcher, bottle shop, old pub, bowling club, showgrounds and sports ovals. Take an easy drive to the regions best wineries or a day trip to the beautiful Barrington Tops National Park. Visit the historic towns of Paterson and Dungog, shop for antiques and local bargains. Relax on the deck, watch the cattle graze and tell stories around the fire.. The neighbouring horses are very friendly and love being fed carrots and apples by the kids. For the kids (and big kids), there is a Nintendo Wii, family boardgames, a huge library of tv shows and movies to watch on the big screen and satelite tv to check in on the footy and cricket scores. Each bedroom has a ceiling fan and heaters. The home also has air conditioning. Guest access The property is easily accessed via Clements Road with easy parking. The home is accessed via digital door codes. Other things to note Mobile telephone reception in the area is good on Telstra however can be patchy on other services like Optus. Please don’t make comments in your feedback if you don’t get telephone reception - I have no control over this! Please also remember this is a rural property- while the house is cleaned thoroughly before your arrival I cannot control the intrusion of a field mouse/ spider or other harmless creepy crawly of some kind during your stay.
