Other things to note 🧹 Cleaning We hire a reliable professional to clean your unit before and after each stay. Cleaning costs are a significant part of our pricing. The cleaner takes care of laundry, restocking, and general cleaning, while we also perform deep cleaning quarterly to keep the unit in top condition. 🐞 Bugs Northwest Florida has a subtropical climate, which rarely reaches freezing temperatures. This makes it a great place for humans, but also for geckos and insects. While rare, insects can occasionally enter through open doors or windows, despite routine pest control. Please help us minimize this by closing doors and windows and disposing of food and trash properly after your stay. 🌊 Red Tide Occasionally, a red tide can occur when certain types of algae grow rapidly. This may temporarily change the water color to red, green, or brown. During a red tide, you may notice dead fish or other marine life washed up on the beach. 🚩 Flag Warnings At Panama City Beach, beach safety is a priority. A color-coded flag system helps inform visitors about current sea conditions: Double Red Flag: Very high hazard; water is closed to the public. Stay out of the water—failure to comply can result in arrest. Single Red Flag: High hazard, including strong currents and high surf. Swim with extreme caution. Yellow Flag: Moderate surf or currents. Swimming is allowed, but please be cautious. 🌪️ Tropical Storms & Hurricanes Tropical storms and hurricanes are possible from May through October. We do not provide refunds, date changes, or concessions for extreme weather. Please plan ahead and consider purchasing travel insurance.
