Nestled in the hollow between Waterbury and Stowe, this architecturally stunning house has everything you need. Prepare a meal in the fully-stocked kitchen, dine together as a group, practice yoga in the hexagonal solarium, hike, relax by the fire - all in an intimate location surrounded by 20,000 acres ofprotected land. Sleep peacefully in one of the three comfortable bedrooms or the extra sleeping spaces. Feel inspired by the views of nature at every turn. Quality linens and towels provided. The space We enjoy a high quality of life in our home and only wish to rent it to people who will treat the home with respect. We pride ourselves on our response time and do our absolute best to make sure the house is clean and that everything is in working order. Enter the property noticing a giant rock alongside the long outstretched driveway. There are old maple trees, mosses and beautiful rocky ledge spread across the property so that the dappled sunlight is always shifting and changing throughout the day. Inside the house, sunlight streams through the windows, house plants thrive in the open spaces, fires burn with ease in the three wood stoves, the back patio connects to the living room with a sweeping lawn and perennial gardens, and the front deck wraps around the front of the house. which spills out to the patio and gardens. The house is fully furnished to accommodate a large group of six very comfortably in beds and there are six high quality floor mattresses available for extra people to stay or just relax in the solarium on the third floor. The rooms are spacious so that groups can gather in any of the stylishly spaces. The kitchen is fully equipped for guests who enjoy cooking and preparing feasts. The kitchen has an industrial gas stove with hood, wooden countertops, and also has a new large refrigerator, new dishwasher, single bay kitchen sink and faucet, and updated backsplash tiles. The cabinets are painted and the wooden countertops remain. Updated photos coming soon! There are more than enough dishes to serve a crowd. The farm table in the kitchen seats six and there is another table around the corner that seats four. There are extra tables folding chairs available for entertaining. The living room is a huge space that wraps around a custom blue stone wood stove. There are comfortable couches, plenty of interesting books to look through, and games to play. A futon couch can be turned into a bed for an extra sleeping space. There is one bedroom on the main floor, separate from the kitchen and living room area. It has a comfortable king bed, a full closet, and a large attached private bathroom. Upstairs on the second floor, there are two more bedrooms. One has a comfortable queen bed, a dresser, a sunny window seat, and full closet. Staying in the master bedroom is quite a grand experience. A beautiful wood stove is in the center of the room, with a beautiful antique four poster king bed, a super comfy chaise lounge, two large bureaus, and a full closet. Attached is a large full bathroom. Finally, on the third floor is the “solarium.” The room is an architectural beauty and it is in the shape of a hexagon. There are skylights and windows on the lower panel walls to make the space feel even more spacious. There are floor mattresses to use for relaxing, sleeping, or sitting to watch a movie on the 48” projector screen. A perfect place for adults to do yoga, relax, meditate, or gather together - or a space for children to play and run around a bit. Outside, the house is situated on 10 acres, with protected land surrounding it. There are outdoor tables and chairs, a grill, a zip-line, and a hammock. The trails to explore are endless. The trailhead to one of the best hikes in Vermont - Hunger Mountain and White Rock - are next door! Guest access Guests have full and private access to the house - including the kitchen, dining area, living room, laundry room, three bedrooms, and bathrooms. Guests will also have full access to the property and will be given detailed instructions on access to hiking and walking trails, wood-fired sauna, mountain biking trails, and cross country/back country skiing and snowshoeing trails. Other things to note The house is accessed by walking up a short flight of stone stairs. Although our listing is pet-friendly, we require that you ask for approval before bringing your pets. We ask for an additional $20/night additional fee to bring your dog and $30/night for more than one dog. We’d like to know a little bit more about the dogs before accepting your reservation request.
