Description
Pitchcott Farm is set among the beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside with expansive views in all directions. This organic farm has a heritage of regenerating the health and vitality of the environment and the land is managed in a way that prioritises biodiversity. The Victorian five bedroom farmhouse has been fully renovated and is available for farm stays with countryside walks and other activities offering all the health benefits of connecting to nature. The space The farmhouse has five bedrooms and is very spacious throughout. Downstairs there is a kitchen and breakfast room facing the farm courtyard. There are two living rooms, both with large fireplaces. The blue room has sofas and bookshelves with board games and childrens toys, while the white room is a multi-use workspace and dining area. There is a downstairs cloakroom with toilet and washbasin beneath two staircases to the first floor, where there are five bedrooms and two bathrooms. Four of the rooms have double beds, one of which is a superking. The fifth room has three single beds, and a fourth can be added. Both of the larger bedrooms have farm and countryside views, with their own private doors to a bathroom. The other bedrooms have views on to the courtyard and the fields beyond. The courtyard is surrounded by stable buildings which have been converted to a mix of contemporary uses, and a new farm cafe, the Pitchcott Kitchen, opened in summer 2025. Guest access There is plenty of parking available in the area between the barns and the fields. Guests have exclusive access to the farmhouse, the large back garden, and the patio in front of the courtyard. This is a perfect spot for a BBQ in summer and there are picnic tables for outdoor dining. Next to the courtyard there is a washroom with 4 toilet cubicles, each with their own basin, and 2 showers. These are for the shared access of guests of the farmhouse, any campers who may be on site, as well as customers of Pitchcott Kitchen, our new cafe on the other side of the courtyard. Next to the courtyard there is a large barn. The courtyard and barn are all shared spaces which are sometimes accessed by the owner for other farm activities, but often guests will have sole use of these spaces too. There are several public footpaths through the local countryside including a very pleasant 30 minute walk which will take you to the historic Black Boy pub in the neighbouring village of Oving. Guests will receive a link to recommended walking routes and maps. Other things to note Tony Langford, the owner and steward of the farm and surrounding land, also leads mindful walks and 'nature bathing' experiences. Further details are available on request. If you prefer to find your own way across the countryside, we can recommend some self-guided walks for you to explore. When you leave we hope you will feel nurtured and regenerated, as this fits with our philosophy for the land and the environment. For the optimum restorative experience we recommend a minimum stay of 3 nights, either over a weekend or during the week. The farm is ideal for work retreats or for teams looking for a new ideas and perspectives in a natural and sustainable environment where their wellbeing is prioritised. Or you may want to combine work and play. The farmhouse has a fast wifi connection and projector set-up which is ideal for zoom meetings as well as home movies. We now have a massage therapist on site in the courtyard. If you would like to book a massage during your stay, please contact us either when or after you book your stay. Our farm cafe, the Pitchcott Kitchen, is currently open Friday to Sunday, 10am to 4pm, for breakfast, lunch, fabulous coffee and ice cream. Be sure to join us there either during your stay or after you have checked out. If you let us know in advance we can open a little earlier for your cooked breakfast.
